B C
Stupid photo filters on the mtech vert. Thats my contribution for the day
straight6pwr
i would have picked up that 540i/6 yesterday if i had room for it. great deal if you dont mind the little rust spots. Fixing should be cheap - brake booster:$100, tie rods $50, figure out the CEL, $100-500. the black leather sport seats and transmission are worth $1500 alone. wasnt m3
Better go get it before someone else on here does...there is definitely money to be made on that one. It appears to be sitting at Concours.
Doorman
I don't have anywhere to put a whole car! 3 plus a motorcycle and a work truck=full garage and driveway.
Boris3
I don't have anywhere to put a whole car! Same problem...probably saves me though from the e30 addiction really running amok. B C
m42b32
Having 4 cars (3 of which aren't road worthy) and one parking spot has really helped curb the addiction...
REKIII
It's OK though, he says to text, but no number. No one will be getting it.
YoungCR
Didn't see the link but I assume that was Scott's e30 which I saw was sold this morning on fb. Good daily, but was hiding a lot of flaws with detailing magic haha although he would've been honest about that.

reckedhim
e39 M5 for $10.5k. http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/5440253790.html
wasnt m3
An M5 for $10.5k is one I'd stay away from. In the end, it'll be cheaper to own an actual nice, low mileage example. I had the opportunity three times now to buy for well under 10k, the maintenance costs are simply not worth it on a higher mileage car. REKIII
I've been waiting to grab one around $4K. They come up periodically, but are usually too far away. If it runs, use it as a beater for awhile, if it doesn't keep the engine for a spare. That one at 10.5 isn't horrible. It's too bad none of the face lift mods were done. the body looks clean. straight6pwr
yeah i knew a guy who bought an e39 m5 for a 'good deal', then sold it a month later because it needed a vanos rebuild and new tires and i don't think he realized that would cost $4k or so. REKIII
So many people fail to realize they are buying an $80K car. Some maintenance costs, regardless of the 'deal' you get. I'm in an 39 M5 group on FB. It's sickening what these guys try to do. "where is the cheapest I can get a new windshield washer sprayer? The $7 one at autozone is just too much"

The $7 one at autozone is just too much" Agreed. I've had MANY customers who purchased a used luxury car and didn't do any homework about repair costs then experience quite a bit of sticker shock. Many heart to hearts have been had where I've had to explain to someone that their used luxury car that cost X amount when new may have depreciated but unfortunately for us all the replacement parts do not depreciate. The book time labor can also shock people. I had a customer last year who was the 3rd owner of a 2002 Mercedes S430 4matic and the air ride was failing. He purchased the strutmasters conversion kit and brought it to one of my shops for installation. They correctly quoted him 6.1 hours labor at $85/hr to replace the front and rear. He was wildly upset and called me to complain because he felt we were ripping him off, there's no way it should cost that much, the car is too old, it has 150k miles, etc. After much discussion back and forth I welcomed him to shop the estimate around and told him it was good for 30 days to which he replied, "Well I did that already! You guys are the cheapest around!". He got the work done by us. Do your homework people!
