YoungCR
It's all just blowing smoke, the additional regulations had to do with heavy highway diesels and atv/snowmobiles. All those highlighted passages are already law. Even if you don't have emissions testing, a car isn't EPA legal if it has no cats. patsbimmer1
patsbimmer1
Chris is right. These laws are already in place and any vehicle with modified emissions systems is already illegal.
B C
Megasquirt is "not legal for use on road vehicles" which is the real reason I haven't driven my car in over a year. Salt Lake has an anti-idling law for the sake of reducing air pollution (currently the worst in the country) http://aqicn.org/map/usa/#@g/40.7303/-108.0264/4z where if you are caught idling for longer than 2 minutes (say, waiting to pick someone up) you can be fined. It has also caused some folks to be douchey to eachother and calling eachother out for "excessive idling" It is more probable in my opinion that stupid laws like that will happen before extra/more thorough inspections or other things that may cause car guys some worry. patsbimmer1

straight6pwr
your right, it probably will lead to nothing. even if they required all race cars to have emissions equipment, it really wouldn't matter. but the EPA can still suck it. YoungCR
80A or 95A for e30 poly bushings. Goal is daily driver with occasional weekend autocrossing hoonage. Madison has decent enough roads too.
