The Full Banana
Just realized I haven't update this in a while. Here's a slew of pictures. The bay. Front control arms boxed, painted and undercoated. 17x8 BBS RC (<17lbs each) Masking for paint after a lot of prep time. Block freshly painted. Flocked dash installed along with alllllllll the wiring and heater control stuff. More stuff tossed in. Someday, it'll be a real car. At least it has front suspension bolted up now. Unintentionally blinged-up alternator. Getrag 265 swap parts: Bellhousing adapter plate, centering ring, shifter cage and linkage to fit 240 shifter location, driveshaft support bearing relocation bracket. Getting more things together. Meticulously prepped the exhaust manifold and turbine housing, then painted them with 'Stove-Brite' (Old man trick for good HIGH heat paint. Volvo guys use this on turbine housings and say it holds up remarkably well. One guy has been using it for 30 years...) Phenolic intake manifold spacers to help abate some amount of heat transfer when I'm asking for all that the little baby TD04HL-16T turbo is worth. The Full Banana
Wow, this is coming a long way! What color is the bay sprayed? It's Duplicolor Engine Enamel 'Cast Coat Iron' with a whole bunch of clear and wax on top. It's a really goofy color. Looks a lot different depending on the lighting. In natural light it's a dark grey, and incandescent light brings out a lot more greenish brown. Certainly different, but I like it. I wanted some amount of contrast with the exterior paint while still being somewhat neutral.
Earl
That's what my block is painted with. Great choice. When are you planning to throw the motor in?

The Full Banana
Quick couple things: (the other things I don't have pictures of yet) Tossed on the new 330mm rotors (Volvo S60R) and threw a RC over top to get an idea. modified Volvo bellhousing with adapter plate to mate to my getrag 265 Engine complete-enough to go in.
