Earl
Worked on cleaning the headliner, sunroof motor cover, and sun roof shuttle last night so I can drop them off at the upholsterer. Removing the old foam and adhesive from the sunroof shuttle was an absolute nightmare and I still need to clean it with soap and water to be finished
straight6pwr
i vote for the spray stuff. take a big sheet of cardboard, and cut a hole the size of the area you want to spray. judging based on the photo you posted, something like this would suffice: KaiserRolls, Jdesign, Bassboy3313 and 4 others
Bassboy3313
Earl you need this. https://www.direnza.co.uk/bmw-3-5-series-e30-e36-e34-316-318-320-518-520-radiator.html That is all.
Earl
That's a nice piece. If only the m42 style fill end didn't interfere with my euro m3 radiator cover=/
Earl
I picked up the headliner bits and drivers seat from the upholsterer yesterday. He did a phenomenal job. Sorry for the potato pictures, I got home late and my phones white balance is garbage lol. I will attempt to install the headliner today if someone is home to give me a hand. Other than that I finally got a set of rear bumper shocks and a passenger window. The window should be going in today and I am just cleaning up the bumper shocks before installing them. I've also been working on a little side project for the car that I want to keep under wraps until it is completed. It should be pretty neat once done
jc43089
Looks very nice, I will need to do my headliner at some point. It isn't sagging but is dirty grey and has some burn holes from a PO's cigarettes... Wish they would have just been vaping lol. Earl
lol This headliner was sagging to the point where I had removed it before taking the car off the road years ago. I redid the headliner in my coupe and did not have any fun doing it. I wanted to save myself the headache and just have it done this time=)
Earl
Accomplished a handful of things this weekend. Picked up some parts: Friday I got the headliner trimmed and installed: Saturday I finished getting it fitting correctly and I installed a new gas cap hanger and stop buffer on my gas door: I then glued down the separating vinyl on the sunroof and threw on the new side covers: Once dried it holds strong now: I also finished cleaning my sunroof tracks and threw in the new fabric shuttle rails: Yesterday I installed my new to me passenger window, replaced the sliders on the drivers window that I neglected when I installed it, and installed the fabric shuttle: I would have put in the sunroof as well but I couldn't find the white lithium grease to lubricate the tracks first. I will pick some up today and get that done

Earl
Got a few things done over the past few days. I bent the new brake line running to the rear to match the original: I threw in my coupe battery cable to help with the relocation to the hatch. I couldn't get any good pictures of this but imagine a red cable running under the floor board wire covers, over the back seat, and into the hatch. I brought a new to me set of bumper shocks back to life and installed them with my refreshed bumper support: I managed to get my sunroof in as well but I need to play with it more to get the front to sit flush with the roof. For some reason I am having issues with that. The rear sits nice and flush which really confuses me.
Earl
Yesterday I threw in my new hood release cable and associated parts. This was super easy with the fender off. I also threw the rear bumper on to get an idea of how the rear will look when finished. I was looking around for my bumper trims to throw on as well but couldn't find where I put them. YoungCR
#datass what's the new exhaust configuration gonna be? I asssume there isn't enough room to put 90's on the end of the stock muffler like a e39.
straight6pwr
yeah that looks really good with no exhaust cut-out
Earl
I'm having a "header" back exhaust made that will turn down behind the bumper. My stock exhaust was absolutely thrashed and the muffler on there was HUGE haha. I am definitely going for a nice and quiet exhaust with as deep of a tone as the m42 will let me get away with=) m42b32

Jdesign
Drill a hole and make the exhaust exit right out of the center of the hood. Thats what all the cool kids do.
Earl
Started putzing around again Yesterday. A little before and after of the refinished front bumper shocks I didn't know that these rear shock tower carpet cover inserts existed until I was watching a Bavsound audio install on a compact. Obviously I ordered them new right away I installed new tail light gaskets on the MHW's and also threw on my new bulb trays That's all for now i_love_cars, Bassboy3313, Jdesign and 1 other
