KaiserRolls
Thanks for the heads up. Still on the fence about where to order from. Wholesale something or other is where I'll most likely go. As far as shift stuff goes I was thinking to just order the condor kit with the short knob (?) the uuc evo3 with dssr is like $460. I've been told it's worth it, but idk. Rebuilt stock stuff with Delrin would still be better than nothing I suppose
Rowleym
I'm not sure what you are running for engine and trans mounts, but I built this floor mount shifter like the AKG one and MAN it's amazing. It's not finished in this picture, but I have a solid brass handle on it now and it's killer. This is in my daily beater. Rowleym
I forgot about the best part. You get to delete the bitch clip!!! Super easy install. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
KaiserRolls
Everything's out of the car right now, so the bitch clip won't be that big of a bitch haha
Rowleym
But it won't stay that way forever right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
KaiserRolls
The engine and trans will come out before the shifter ever gets loose again
Rowleym
Okay, anyways. I'm just saying it's an epic setup and I'm never gonna miss a gear again. Amazing to drive with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I believe it! I just want a decent shifter feel. The car has other areas that need attention first lol. jc43089
I have the uuc w/dssr. The dssr is awesome but I would rather have a floor mount shifter. Don't get me wrong, its a nice product but I don't really care for a shorter throw. Sent from my potato phone
DrLeadFoot
I like mine a lot. But I've never shifted a floor shifter. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
KaiserRolls
I just ended up going with the condor ssk. Gonna toss a zhp knob on it and call it fine for now. Maybe pick up the dssr for it at a later date. Or buy it the next time the engine comes out. Lol.
Rowleym
Have you used a z3 shifter before in an e30? Or what helped you make the decision.
KaiserRolls
Never used a z3 shifter. Never used a zhp knob. But I have used sloppy shifter and I know I hate them.
CMart
I have a Z3 in the M62 and damn is it short. Won't know if I like it until I have some hours behind the wheel, but I have never owned a car with a throw as short as this.
Rowleym
yea I'm only saying that because I tried the z3 shifter and definitely did NOT like it.
GunMetalGrey
^ I second this. I tried it on a g260 and it was real notchy and hard to get into gears at higher rpm. I have a zf now tih the m3 rod and it is a buttery smooth shift.
KaiserRolls
With the ZF I have the m3 rod in it now. If I hate the z3 I can swap it out. Or sell it.
KaiserRolls
Stuff
KaiserRolls
It ended up being Sachs stuff (from gripforce) Would of had the engine in today. But condor is taking their sweet time shipping parts. Currently awaiting the shift rebuild kit. Trans fluid was changed, everything is on and torqued. Interesting thing about the pilot bearing. The one we removed we used a home made puller out of some nuts and bolts. It came out eventually. The kit from gripforce sent two clutch alignment tools and two pilot bearings. The one on the left is what I removed, the one on the right is the one they sent that was smaller. (They also sent a correctly sized one) without paying attention we put in the incorrect pilot bearing (smaller one in the pic) and the puller wouldn't work on it because it was a smaller size. So I busted out two slices of bread, (BMW is super picky about what kind of bread you use in their engine blocks) Had to use split top wheat and remove the crust, Sara Lee is all I'll use for bearing removal, wonder bread is all BS) shoved it into the pilot hole and it popped out, cleaned out the cavity and put in the correct pilot. YoungCR
I'm guessing it's just a general kit that they just throw in the two bearings and allignment tools so they don't have to guess which month/year used whatever size. That's cool that the kit was Sachs parts, I'll probably buy that next time I need to do a clutch. KaiserRolls
The pressure plate was. I think the clutch was LUK (?) Flywheel was fidanza/fx racing or something or other. All I know is that it's not a 25lb dual mass boat anchor. This one was like 14/15lbs and a chromoly single mass YoungCR
Rowleym
man I was skeptical about the bread usable for removal of pilot bearing.... But it worked great! lol.
KaiserRolls
I had a couple buddies over and when I busted out some bread they looked at me like I was insane. It worked really well haha!!
KaiserRolls
SSK from condor should get here today or tomorrow. Braided clutch line from blunt should be early next week or even this week. Radiator rubber feet & O2 sensor should be here early next week Basically just have to order a driveshaft/csb/flex disc and I should be good to go.
