Why not remove the Dinan exhaust and sell it since it should be worth some money. Then either find a stock exhaust and hack it up or have one welded up? Idk if the exhaust routing is the same for our cars but if it is I would trade you my stock exhaust for the Dinan

Age may play a factor in the quality if it has been sitting for some time. Straight pipe it...

I got to see this car in person yesterday, I was honestly surprised at how easy the car was to drift. I guess I just figured the E34 was more of a boat for some reason.

Finally got my own car everyone! First I would like to say thanks to Chris (CYoung) for making this all happen while I'm down in South Carolina for school, he picked it up for me and did all the dirty work for me. Like the title says it is a 1995 e34 540i 6 speed. According to wiki there were only 3,200 produced so they are a little hard to come by. It has a 4.0 L V8 and a Dinan chip making it put out around 300hp. I haven't have the pleasure to drive it yet but I trust Chris's word 100% and he said that it is in perfect mechanical condition. Rust is not a big issue on the body which is also rare for e34s. Interior looks great as well and came with style 5 wheels with summer tires. Overall, I am very happy, got it for a great price, and was definitely worth it. Oh yea, its Canadian too .
I've got a couple plans for this summer. I would like to get some Spax lowering springs to get rid of that nasty wheel gap and possibly some exhaust work. Other then that I do love the way e34s look with style 42s so maybe I'll pick up Patricks from the Madison Bimmers Facebook group if I have the monies. No big plans as of right now, 300hp should do the trick for a while at least .

I always have a cordless impact with a 17mm socket in my trunk with a ratchet and some sockets.
My to do includes:
Oil change
Fogs
Lower steering shaft joint
CLEAN!
This last weekend I got my wheels on and installed a new radiator while cleaning up the engine area a bit.
I CAN'T WAIT!!!

So pumped for this! Getting my oil leak fixed then I'm going to:
-Go through the whole suspension to double check to see if anything is loose.
-Check fluid levels.
-Get my traveling tool kit sorted. And yes, there will be a ton of zip ties in there.
-Balance my wheels just to be sure.
-Install new radio
-CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN

patsbimmer1 reacted to DrLeadFoot in How do you buy your parts?
Pegasus Racing basically has their mortgage paid by the Dr., Guten, blunt, then Concours (I still get it for cost!) CarQuest for the domestics as I get parts for cost there as well.

Written test is to get your learner's permit. I'd recommend signing up for one of the riding classes to get your license. Otherwise you'll need to to a standard riding test on your bike while being followed by someone from the dmv telling you what to do through a headset. Maintenance depends completely on the bike you're getting. Any idea on what you were considering?

Saw a silver e46 not long ago going east on interstate 94, he had a wibimmers euro plate inside the car. I think his plates read 212-ULV.

I've always gone with H&R sport springs and have installed them on a few others bmw's as well. I've had them on 4 or 5 of my cars now. Best all around for a daily driver in my opinion. They now offer super sport springs too which offer a slightly lower ride height than the standard sports.

I thought he had it custom painted Avus, that's why I wanted to see it. Topaz is pretty nice though. Here's my personal experience with Topasblau:
I have 18's going on it soon for the summer.

I want to see pictures of an Avus E46 touring. Sounds deluxe.
UPDATE ON MY CL POSTING: My sedan is really popular at the 2k price point. This is radical. However, I'm probably trading it. Details later, gator.
