SirMontgomery
Hello everyone! Last April I purchased a 1992 525i with 58k miles on it from Tennessee and have been putting countless hours in it. I will soon be taking the plunge into the boosted realm so any advice for a m50nv is much appreciated. The e60 was purchased for my mom over the summer since she enjoyed driving my car so much and her previous AWD car was dying (2007 Acura MDX). straight6pwr
wow low miles, very cool! welcome to the forum. isn't it awesome how e34s drive as nice as most new cars? (and better than some)
HipMF
All the boosted cars here are blown up, so maybe not the best place to get advice from. Just kidding of course. Looking to join their ranks soon myself. Welcome! patsbimmer1
B C
2007 MDX was dying? seems young, but perhaps it had a billion miles. Unbelievable to find an E34 with only 58k! 2 of us fell victim to blown engines from lack of overboost protection -___-
SirMontgomery
I'm looking at running a tial wastegate and a MBC with a gt30 or hx35 so I'm not especially worried about boost creep. I'm trying to decide whether to do OB2 conversion or megasquirt.
Bassboy3313
Welcome. Quite a few of us here are running boost with Megasquirt with snap being the forum MS guru.
B C
Gunmetalgrey, Rowleym, and drleadfoot have experience with 24v, megasquirt and OBD2 tuning as well. They would be good to chat with. There are others but those are the first that come to mind

The wastegate signal line popped off which caused it to stop wasting gates
patsbimmer1
Hey guys, I believe not all of us boosted folk have blown up... Us n5x guys are still kickin! Welcome! The e34 looks great and those miles are stunning!
CMart
Welcome! My E60 has made me realize what a great car it is for a non-car person. Really idiot proof with all the sensors/alerts.

You just expedited my pitchfork gathering by at least 4 months with that comment. GunMetalGrey
Oh hai! I saw my name mentioned, and it looks like I may have some things for you! I had an m50nv motor boosted in my e30, but have since switched to an m52. The e34 looks awesome!

Suspension work like lowering and strut brace, finish up the sound system and a longer final drive once it's booted. And the volvo lip of course. I also need to ninish tidying up the interior, there's some 20YO tint on the back glass I still need to get a steamer to do, I also need to rewire the drivers side seat I bought (e32 komfort). I have dove everything now except for front seats and dash (black), I'm planning on using the top black trim on my door cards from the old interior and then doing an ebonized finish on the wood. HipMF
5 demerit points for not showing up at the ice races on lake poygan this past weekend. Another e34 on snows and it could have been total domination of the rwd class http://www.wibimmers.com/board/index.php?/topic/1103-chit-chat-thread/&do=findComment&comment=65677
