The new pump seems to have fixed it. Will confirm after a test drive.

In other news, we started a pretty significant home renovation project this week. Going from a small 2 bed / 1.5 bath home to a 4 bed / 2.5 bath home. We bought the house knowing if we were to stay here we’d have to add on at some point. After buying some land from our neighbor to give us about 1/3 acre and being three blocks from downtown Cedarburg, we knew this is were we wanted to stay. So, here we go. Digging for the new basement started today.

Although bedrooms and bathrooms for all five of us (eventually six of us) is fantastic, my favorite perk is that the garage becomes my workshop. I’m already in the process of cleaning it up to make it my own space.

Hit a milestone today... little hard to see but that’s the big 200,000!

Had a great evening of spirited driving to mark the occasion, and the clouds even cleared a little for a nice sunset and some neat photos.

I’m not really sure why some of my photos keep getting rotated when posting on the mobile site, kinda weird. Also, sorry for the compressed image quality, my phone is a dinosaur and doesn’t like playing nice with big files.

Car had a full paint correction done on by Auto Trim Design in Neenah. After getting the car to my parents garage, spent the next couple of days costing the car in Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light and then topped with EXO V3. This should last me probably over 2 years with proper washing and no winter driving. I also coated the wheels.
Paint correction and the coating have made it very red. Pictures really don’t do it justice how good it looks. If you’re still using waxes on your cars, make the switch. It’s very easy to apply.

I'm excellent at drinking on a course.  I have a friend who's a golf pro in California and he's described my swing as "I don't know why that works".  So, you could say I'm kind of an enigma in the golf world.

Rears are on. Really happy with the car, so much better than before. Fitment is pretty much perfect all the way around. Thanks again to @suspenceful for the help with the rolling the fenders.

We might be due for a user photo thread here so I can actually put names to faces, I saw people/cars that I'm fairly certain I knew but wasn't sure...

How does this compare to the number of tests being done?  It looks alarming but it needs to be overlaid with how many tests are being done, otherwise it is useless.  Also death numbers would be helpful.  According to DHS it does not appear that deaths in Dane county are rising at all thankfully.  DHS

BIG shout out to everyone who made it out today! By far the largest event to date by a long shot. Well over 100 cars and ran out of space. Amazing way to start out the way too late season. Great to see everyone!

‘‘Twas a hot azz/humid day in the garage. Spent the day finishing these custom panels I’ve slowly been making since the fall. I haven’t touched them in a month or so but decided to try and get them finished. The hardest part of this whole thing was figuring out how to correctly position the door handles/speaker holes, and the pull strap. I used OEM Porsche pull straps for a very nice clean look and decided unlike all the other panels on the market to lower it. I wanted to inner door to show the purple on top like the Lotus Exige. I felt this looks a lot cleaner for some reason. I wrapped the one in alcantara suede but ran out of material for the next one and probably will finish tomorrow. Overall very happy with how these ended up turning out. The interior is getting closer and closer everyday. I also ordered a new cup holder idea from BMW Milwaukee North today. Plan to use some Z3 trays. Will update once they come in early next week.

(I don’t have the door handle in yet or the lower speaker. I’m waiting on a new chrome lux package handle as I broke mine somehow. (The lux are chrome. Should match the stainless hardware I mounted the panels with nicely))

I'm attending a work Farm Party the night before, where it is tradition to drink until you vomit.
However, I will still be attending this E30 Picnic to see my friends (THAT'S YOU GUYS), and I will have a good attitude.

I threw the stock wheels back on and took the car to its first autocross at Road America! This was essentially my first autocross as well, my only other time being a few laps 5 years ago. Was nice talking to @KaiserRolls and seeing him make me look like a n00b on the track.
That being said, I'd love some feedback/tips/advice on my driving. I'm going to another autocross with it this weekend and would love to improve!
I placed #74 out of 147 cars. My best time was 58.925s. First place had 53.322s and average time for everyone was  59.751s: http://fvscc.com/results/2020_Summer/Event1_raw.htm
I have tons of parts ready to install on the M3 so be sure to subscribe if you enjoy YouTube content: https://www.youtube.com/jakespence135

They changed the campsite process this year it appears.  Now you just list your top 3 choices.  Last year it used to be you picked off of a map.  Maybe they are they trying to leave gaps between occupied campsites?  I'll be outside of turn 8 away from the party zone 🙂 Two kids coming this year, they grow up fast.  It will be my oldest daughters 4th year.

I've been wanting to do this for a while, finally msportparts.com came out with a replacement piece for the faded M cluster logo! Took advantage of having the cluster out as well and polished it up really nicely and removed all the swirls. It's the small things like this that make a build so much better and satisfying to me. Very happy with this. (The first picture is after)

    UPDATE
Totally have been slacking on the updates again now that there's no major things going on.
Finished shaving the driver side fender and got it primed and put on the car.

I tried putting in the passenger seat with the home made seat bases and brackets that I had from before and it just was not going to work. So I finally splurged on some real swat brackets and bases.
Planted steel bases with planted aluminum side mounts.

Here is the seat mounted. I really liked that they give you so much room to play with and drill your own holes in the seat mount baseplate.

And here is both seats finally mounted in the car, with much better seating positions compared to before as well.

On to something smaller, I finally upgraded to the brass bleeder screw rather than the plastic one.

Was able to get out to a "meet" last weekend at the old forest mall in fond du lac so that was cool to get the car out for a bit.

I also ordered some new DEPO clear front marker lights since I broke the tab on my left side one (thus the painters tape lmao).

I also decided to take care of the worn out idler and tensioner pulleys. But soon found out that the tensioner pulley I ordered was for the hydraulic tensioner, and i have the mechanical one. After doing some reading it appears the hydraulic one is the upgrade that BMW put in place so I got one on order.
And while I was discouraged about not getting that simple job done I decided to completely clean out the catch can and all the lines for it.

Thats it for now! I am waiting on a few new parts to show up that I am excited to share once they come in!

The T56 that I had in the car started popping out of 3rd gear & reverse and grinding going into 3rd.  Time for a new trans!
RPM transmission level VI was ordered and, while I'm in there, I popped in a Monster dual clutch in case I wanted to add more power.  Should be good up to 700hp/to.
Also got a bolt in roll cage from Mitch.  (Thanks for delivery relay, Mitch & TJ!)  Powder coated it gloss black and bolted it in.
Nitto NT01 rear tires mounted as well.  255s.

I was going to ask if anyone knew him. The car is 2200 lbs. How built is the M20? When I asked(I think it was dad) when they were on the false grid, he said it was a stock M20. Guessing he meant stock as in N/A. Thing is a screamer, sounded great down in the Kettle Bottoms.
Said they ran a 2:29 on Friday which fast for a ~200 some horse power box on wheels.

Also saw this up behind 6. Was gutted and had a half cage.

Started pulling the diff, which turned into pulling the axles because I observed some weathered boots, flung grease and the axle stub bolts were coated in watery axle grease. Luckily I have enough GKN/EMPI repair kits to replace/repack every boot. It’ll be nice to check this off the list, car is getting closer to 99.9% “done”.
    side note: cv grease sucks

This unlawful execution is bringing out the worst in everybody, a few riots should not dismiss the black lives matter movement the same way a few bad/corrupt police departments should not call for all law enforcement to be shut down.
