I've been using liquimoly in all of our cars for years now and haven't blown anything up.  It lubricates.

I needed to follow up on this lol.
just got back from the tail of the dragon, I was driving the evo on NT555G2s. Was honestly surprised with that tire. Have been on that road many times in the evo on firehawks/conti ECS and honestly the nitto was pretty good.

brooke was on neogens (Came on the car) and I still hate that tire. Absolute crap on damp asphalt.

another miatas at the gap trip in the books and I think there were like 5-6 cars that got totaled this year lol

Did an oil change on the car last night at 134k miles, first time in my ownership. Went with the liqui moly oil change kit from FCP and was pretty impressed overall with the quality of everything. Im hoping when it comes time for the next oil change to utilize their lifetime warranty 😂
My car is too low to get onto the lifts at work so I just chucked it on the alignment rack and while the oil was draining I got a good look under it. Bushings for the front control arms look pretty junk which explains why the front end feels a tad loose, and it also appears my front main seal is leaking. Something to keep an eye out for.

More pictures and videos when I'm back in the country tommorow but in short this trip is fucking awesome!  These trucks are extremely capable and regularly run the Baja 100 and 500.  Today we did 75mph on the beach then hit speeds up to 70mph in the canyons later on after crawling up and down massive ditches and mountain switchbacks.
It's through a company called Wide Open Baja and they are for clients who want a ready made team for Baja.  People like Patrick Dempsey, Will Turner and many more have paid to drive their cars and get the support team.  The support we had following us is the same team that supports the races and these guys fucking rocked!  They also do tours like this for people who want to try the trucks out in more of an adventure setting as opposed to full race.  Here's the truck we've been driving!

Next week I will be in Mexico driving Baja Challenge trucks along sections of the Baja 1000 and 500!  It's two days worth of driving through the desert in the actual Baja Challenge trucks used for racing.  I've never done something like this so I'm pretty excited!  The video below is the exact route and places I'm staying while we're on the trip.

Tail of the Dragon! This has always been a bucket list road for me, and it blew my expectations out of the water. Not only are the curves a blast, but most of them are banked too! The ride height wasn’t ideal for this and we had a couple rubs. Strangely enough only from the passenger rear, where it was tapping the fender liner.

Love this little 328 though. Tackled 2,000mi and being pushed at tail of the dragon without a break. Impressed how smooth it is!

I flew to Detroit Friday night after work. My brother picked me up at the air port as he lives in Ann Arbor and stayed with him for the night. He drove me to Charlotte, Michigan, about an hour west of Ann Arbor, right away in the morning. Picked the truck up and started the 6 and a half hour drive home.
In the F30, after about an hour and a half of continuous driving, my legs and back would start to hurt, and closer to 3 hours I would not be able to drive for how uncomfortable I would be. Change of driving position in a truck makes things significantly more comfortable. When I got home I didn’t feel beat up or in pain from driving a long duration of time.
    2018 F150 XLT “special edition”
Has the better grille and the black line headlights, as well as the “sport” cloth interior. It came with a bed cap, which I just sold last night for $900. I took all of the decals off immediately, swapped to a shorty antenna, removed the mud flaps, added a tailgate assist, replaced the license plate and cargo lights with LED bulbs, and added some WeatherTech floor mats.
I did replace the low beam, high beam, and fog light bulbs with some LED ones, but am having issues adjusting the aim of them. Either the additional wires and resistors from the LEDs tucked into the headlight housing is restricting the aiming, or my gear are stripped. Thankfully, Mr. @patsbimmer1 will be sourcing me aftermarket housings.
I have an Eibach strut and shock leveling kit on order, the struts should be here tomorrow. Going to have a coworker help me install when the other portion gets here. I have some 285/75R17 BFG KO2’s in my storage unit waiting for wheels. Might be working with a manufacture to get a new flow forged line they are coming out with on the truck, but waiting to hear details on that.
Have a Truxedo tonneau cover that I am waiting to have delivered to a local shop so they can install, should be early next week.

How it looked when I first got it

    Decal and cap removal

    First wash at a friends

    Cargo lights

Tail gate assist (shock connecting the bed and the tail gate)

    ters’

    LED bulbs

Made the drive from Orlando to Minneapolis! Trip was great besides a small hiccup with the Hampton hotel in Asheville, NC. Rolled into town deliriously tired at 1:30am, only to find they didn't clean the room prior to our arrival and the previous tenants decided to piss the bed. They put a fresh comforter over about 2 gallons of piss soaked mattress. Did I accidentally lay in it? Yup! Piss out of luck they say. We did get the room for pee... I mean free. So pissed. In all seriousness they did refund the room and put us up in some cots.

The car was great, but not without issue, it's a BMW after all. Threw an ABS/DSC/Brake light about 2hrs in. Luckily brought my scanner with and turned out to be a rear wheel speed sensor, so thank god its just that. Otherwise car handled the trip perfectly. Here's a shot at a scenic overlook right before hopping on Tail of the Dragon

The E90, developed a squeal today. Seems like the parking brake is hanging up and at low speeds making an awful squealing at low speed. Seems once up to speed it’s gone. I’ll have to pull the rotors off and see this weekend.

Life Cycle Impulse.  So it's a mid generation face lift.  On some cars it's more dramatic than others.  On the e90 it was new front bumper, headlights, taillights, hood, kidneys, wheel options and I believe it moved the iDrive to the CIC unit.  The LCI models also introduced the option for an M Sport as opposed to pre-LCI that had the sport package and optional M Performance bumpers that could be installed after delivery.  It also dropped the N54 later in the LCI for the N55.  It's mostly cosmetic.

I sold my F30. I’ll be back in a BMW as a daily some day, but it was time to try something else as I’ve driven a lowered BMW for 8 years. Going to hopefully purchase an F150 on Saturday. Will be really nice to transport mopeds and other track items to Road America and general utility.
