m42b32 got a reaction from patsbimmer1 in Cold weather testing
A good friend of mine works for Bosch as a control systems engineer designing ABS systems, he spends a good chunk of the winter up in northern Minnesota testing on frozen lakes and in freezing cold weather, pretty sweet job if you ask me!

Everyone knows that real race cars need that exact spot for mounting things like gauges that monitor super important stuff like CV grease temperature and GoPro battery life. Trust me, I'm basically an expert because I saw a spec e30 car on a trailer going the other way on a freeway one time.

I agree with all your points. Maybe it's a phobia? I've never owned an Apple product, yet badmouth them too. I always tell people I can't own one because I don't fit into skinny Jeans......c'mon, that's funny.
And yes, 99.9% of BMW owners are D-bags, I can tell you, I'm in the majority. Besides, there is no better way to compensate for my small penis.

Yep. I'll be bottling the the Mr. Beer extract stuff in the next couple of days. I think I was pretty diligent with the sanitation, so it should turn out fine. My gear arrived today, so I'm set to brew my first all-grain batch this weekend. I'm going to stick to small batches so I can do more experimenting with the process and recipes. The first batch will be keeping it simple: pale malt, a little caramel malt to add some sweetness and aroma, and Cascade hops. I need to sit down and figure out the quantities with a brewing calculator, but I'm aiming for an American Pale Ale style.

Beer. If you know me, then you know that I love it.
I've been drinking a lot of IPAs a few years now. In the past year or two I've started to gravitate towards pilsners, yet somehow I've never tried this one. It's the best.
On a related note: my roommate bought me a "Mr. Beer" home-brewing kit, and I think I've caught the bug... Watch for a "Follies/Joys of home-brewing" OT thread to be opening soon...
-Cheers

I realized recently that this group isn't a forum as much as it's an elaborate group text that we're all willingly stuck in.

I've had this type of thing done by a small mechanic shop before, I'm sure there is someone that would do it for a few bucks locally.

Got these awesome posters that I will be framing and hanging up in the apartment, love them! And, if my girlfriend has any objections to their placement, I now have the perfect means of settling the dispute:
Thanks Dave!!

Yes, the hood matches, the whole top of the car is just dirty from the transport truck. Under the hood looks OK though.

too bad 14k of it is going to taxes to fund social benefits to lazy people who don't work that take advantage of systems designed to help unfortunate people who want to work / get back on their feet!
had to get that in there. Yes, I'm bitter.
