Gonna try to fix that by pulling an E39 and adding a scuba tank resonator at the back. It's a downpipe back 2.25" system with a center glasspack and a high flow muffler. All exhaust tubing from the downpipe (formerly cat) back is all new. Will post pics of system when it's complete. Heres a picture of the car as it sits now. Needs to be lowered badly. Working on that as well. Swap weight will fix part of that. B C
rampelsauce
Took a break from cleaning out my house for moving to spend some time in the sunshine on the ti. Pulled out the amp and stereo wiring and sent it to the front where it sits for the time being till I have time to pull the front carpet. Went to the car wash and gave it a nice little spring bath. Good lord is this thing scratched up. Ideally it will be receiving some kind of paint after rust repair and then a WIBIMMERS livery wrap of some kind. m42b32 and P_Roloff
rampelsauce
So, decided to swap the springs over from the M3 to the compact. Found out my struts aren't in the best shape. I did the rears first, because those are easy, took for a beat run and realized I absolutely had to do the fronts too. Prepare for side shots. Just rears: Fronts and rears done: Shes a lil raked out boys. But coilovers are coming when I have the spare cash. It's fun to drive like this, but I can really feel the shot suspension now while doing some spirited driving. Also, did you know a 318ti perfectly fits a dryer? I also stopped by my pals house who has a ZX14 swapped Fiat 124, and we went for a little spin. I told him to bring it to our next function. It rips. I see what you did there. No I'm moving to the dirty dirty (west allis) at end of the month, just so happens that I have a compact with essentially just a drivers seat. rampelsauce
Been down a bit from my big move to the big city. Havent been able to make any progress due to my landlord not running the power he promised to my garage. So that's been frustrating. Sorry to anyone waiting on powder coated goods. In progress related news, I believe I'll be placing my order to Condor this weekend for all of my bushings and etc. So that's a step in the right direction. The biggest hurdle is getting my tools and equipment to my new place. It's been pretty disheartening. Updates (with pictures) soon, I hope. rampelsauce
Carpets out, sparco installed! Got most of the stereo and airbag wiring out as well. I'll be trying to get a few additional things done before the E30 picnic so you guys can see some progress. My garage will be coming along as well, my landlord buried the conduit to run power for my equipment. So HOPEFULLY he runs it this week. @wasnt m3 is hooking me up with some old cabinets so I can build out a nicely organized space for getting this S52 out of the M3 chassis and into the compact. rampelsauce
I've gotta give big ups to Condor Speed Shop for hooking it up. Just put in my first big order of suspension parts, and they were super helpful every step of the way. I highly recommend them not only for awesome parts but some of the best customer service. Pictures of my big box of goodies soon! m42b32

rampelsauce
So been super busy (work, got married, helping other people work on stuff), but got a couple small things done on the compact. Removed sunroof, deleted 3rd brake light, deleted rear wiper, eliminated remaining trim pieces inside the car. Ideally the next big update will involve a rear subframe assembly being reinforced and having condor goodies added, but we will see. Car suddenly pinned the temp needle. I'm assuming catastrophic head gasket failure. All during my morning commute. The swap is scheduled for this long weekend. Anyone wanna come up to port Washington and help?
