Sounds like I might have to sell my sister's car (which means a little money for me) around 6:30pm , so I'm not sure when I'll do the suspension. I'll text you later today. GunMetalGrey
Updates!Lets see, yesterday I dropped out my old diff (3.73lsd) which is already sold. I was not looking forward to doing the top two bolts on the diff and I went to go loosen it, seemed loose so I went up with my hand, sure enough they were both hand tight.... oops!Changed the gear oil in the new diff (glad I did, the stuff that came out was black) I had enough left overs from previous changes to fill the new diff! Rented a pilot bearing puller from advance to get my pilot bearing out, and that didn't work so I devised a little contraption of my own with a 2lb slide hammerWorked like a charm, and I am glad I did get the old bearing out, it was pretty rough. Blue! And as you can see I got a set of Condor solid motor mounts, those should be interesting.Got the water pump out, got the new one in and got the new thermostat in with new gaskets obviously. Will be ordering the clutch today if everything goes right, and that makes me happy! Also took this and thought it was pretty cool, loving the new Razr M More updates soon! jc43089
I rented a pilot bearing puller from oreillys when I did my clutch and the end was too big to fit into the bearing. I used a contraption such as yours except just clamped a vise grip on the end of a rod and pounded on that with a hammer. Also way back you said you needed an m50 starter, I assume you probably have one by now but if not I have an extra that you could save big money on. GunMetalGrey
I bought the motor for this build in the form of a running car. So I am set on the starter, but thank you! Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk
jc43089
Sounds good, the build looks great. I just keep reading these and wanting to tear mine apart and get crazy.

GunMetalGrey
UPDATSESSS|SAESESSAFAWESS!!!!So, to start things off I got the new diff in, nothing special there!Picked up a new daily beast!Guy in fondulac had it, he also had an m50 swapped e30, e39 5 something with an m5 kit, an e39 528i and a four door early model e30 325!Thing is awesome to say the least, m50nv, five speed, black heated leather, all around awesome!Mods started soon after...All red tailsAnd some projectors from Dan!Also did the valve cover gasket because that was super dry and was leaking! Back to the good stuff! My clutch came in! I ended up going with the SPEC Stage 2+ which is good for 452 ft/lbs torque so I think that should be good! It is going on an AASCO 11lb aluminum flywheel, so the combo should be pretty sweet. the clutch design is awesome, it is a full faced clutch on one side and a six puck on the other, power transfer and drive ability all in one! Now I need to get some flywheel bolts and get the motor in!
jc43089
That's going to be great! I have the UUC lightweight flywheel w/ e34 m5 clutch and love it. It feels like how it should have come from the factory.
GunMetalGrey
Ordered some custom length flywheel bolts for it, 40 bucks shipped for eight bolts. Ouch

GunMetalGrey
Update! Got the clutch and flywheel onto the motor, all kinds of fun there.Put the motor in, no shot of that because they are all super blurry lol And now comes the game of making everything fit.... my godThe oil drain line may have to run through the frame after I make a hole for it, the turbo itself just squeezes in there, everything is nice and tight. Oh well. I don't know what else to say, it is in the car so a lot more work can finally be done.
GunMetalGrey
Since I am a rowdy teenager that loves building things I will show you this. 420cc motor with a snowmobile clutch/trans on it. That should be driving tonight! Size comparison We had to extend the frame a few inches to make the motor fit Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2 B C
