Jeff
Lol we shall see what will happen. I am going to get a radiator for it so I can run it longer for more than 2 seconds. It sprays an Awsome stream of fruit punch looking fluid from where the radiator is supposed to be. Jeff
Pathetic little Mercedes can't even do a burnout:/ on that note the trans lost all forward gears lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Bassboy3313 and B C
patsbimmer1
That doesn't surprise me, the 8v and 12v w201's weren't much to write home about in the power department. They still look awesome though! Great lawn ornament! Jeff
Earl
But won't do a burnout? I could get a geo tracker to burn rubber=)
Jeff
Lol now I come to a decision. Buy a transmission or a transmission rebuild kit? Or sell motor, interior parts, and all electronics for enough money to do a v8 swap and a straight axel. patsbimmer1
Or... 16v swap
B C
I have a hard time believing theres much more than $600-800 worth of parts to sell on the car (including engine) since the 190e 2.6 isnt a thriving market like the e30 market is. My vote is to get a fresh trans from a rebuilder.
Jeff
Yea very true that 2.6l is just horrible. I'm The motor would be leaving in multiple parts seeing as parts on them sell for more that the motor itself. Interior parts would maybe get me $200 misc electronics and other in necessary items possible $130. The master rebuild kit is only $280 and the servo piston that is most likely the reason the car has no forward gears is $130. I'll probably just check and see if the piston broke. If not I'll pull the trans and see it the forward drum and one way clutches are still good before I spend the money for the rebuild kit. Auto transmissions only take about 3 hours to rebuild mostly due to all the cleaning required. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
