Noon update.

Tighten drive shaft to differential bolts

Replace fuel filter, pretty sure it's been on there for 25 years.

Weld muffler onto my cat back pipes and install (Thanks Andy! it looks great)

Fab mount for exhaust to manual trans.

Install new front control arm bushings

Install radiator and hook up coolant hoses

Bleed clutch and brakes, fluid is extremely disgusting

Replace battery clamps, tightening bolts are seized up

Install air box and AFM

Change transmission fluid

Fill engine oil

Fill coolant

Turn key!!!

I shouldn't have any trouble doing a one wheel wonder with the 4.10 gears.  Too bad this one didn't have an LSD, or maybe it is just worn out?  Tires turn opposite directions when off of the ground.

I have the exact same problem. Its hard staring at the LSD and motor swap sitting next to the car every time I walk past :(

Got up at 4:30 so that I could install the front sway bar before work.  I was going to drain the differential too but the fill plug is messed up so I will deal with that sometime after the Sunday meet.  After work I will get the wiring changes taken care of and bleed the clutch system.  The last exhaust gasket and trans/dif fluid will be here on Thursday then I can put the control arm bushings on and set it on the ground.

I still need a shift boot, and the brace that goes between the engine block and transmission.  But that won't keep me from driving it.

IT LIVES!!!  Idling high in the video, fixed that by wiggling the wire to the blue temp sender, I will need to address that in the future.

Blood transfusion.

Most of the internet info out there is junk for the wiring, found the ETM online and in the manual cars there is no start relay etc. The key switch goes straight to the starter so this is all you have to do, splice the black wire to the black/yellow wire and it will start just like the manual car is supposed to.

Custom exhaust brace.

Tool for removing drain/fill plug from transmission.

My helper again.

Is brake fluid supposed to look like stout?

A couple things left to do.

Finish mounting exhaust

Install new front control arm bushings

Change differential fluid (fill plug hex is stripped so I will deal with that later)

Put the center console back together

Burnouts!

exciting progress! How long are you going to keep it before you sell it?

I had to connect the "park/neutral safety switch" wires under the shift boot to get it to start and there was also a connector under the dash that goes to the neutral safety switch on the clutch that had a jumper in it that needs to be removed if running cruise control but that was it.

I had to go to work before the video finished uploading here it is.

The exhaust is mounted to the trans, just like OE, it is using the OE rubber hangers when mounted to the body.  I reused the Auto cat section so it has the mount arm for the auto vs the manual.

This car is awesome, I would love to just keep it.  If I do sell it, it will have to go to a good home.

This is the common thing on the interwebs to do, completely unnecessary though, all that you are doing with that splice is permanently pulling in the run relay so that 12V goes through the yellow run relay and on to the starter.  If you look at the ETM and compare the manual vs automatic start circuit pages you will see that on the manual cars there is no interlock of any kind, #12 wire goes through the key straight to the starter solenoid.  You are correct about the clutch switch for the cruise disable, mine has cruise so I got that hooked up, it's awesome that the plug is right there, just unplug the jumper and connect it to the switch.
