patsbimmer1
That sucks to sell that e30! There is no way he's recouping nearly what he has put into it and I can't imagine how much time has gone into that!

Sadly it looks like everything is a complete loss on that one. The best thing you could do would be to build a tube chassis and just use the body panels, or reskin a car that hasn't been consumed by fire. P_Roloff
Bit of an oddball find. https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/d/1967-bmw/6410779514.html I really dig the color combo. Whole car looks a little rough around the edges though. https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/d/1995-bmw-m3/6423598744.html I've got irrational desire to someday own a long wheelbase 7 series. The fact that there's a couple pretty decent ones on CL right now isn't helping. https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/d/1998-bmw-740il-clean-3-owner/6384688950.html Decent deal on an '02. No real interior, but it'd be cool for bombing around on backroads in. https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/d/76-bmw-2002/6419052715.html
stealthbimmer
Nothing irrational about wanting a 7er. Fantastic cars. I had an e32 way back when. That thing hauled ass and you never even knew it, so smooth. Sold it due to the transmission being on its way to it's death bed. They are dirt cheap, but expensive to fix and most people don't maintain them very well. Most of them at one time or another were owned by a rapper wanna be or something of the sorts. I'll own one again done the road. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk P_Roloff

suspenceful
Must be a common lust. I've always wanted a black 740iL so I could bag it and roll around like a mobster.

Funny that the ad says "will run" That daytona E36 M3 is the best color combo. The 7'er seems kind of high priced but its certainly nice. Wonder did seller lose it or never had it? The e30 parts seller is someone who bought a half semi-load of parts plus a number of cars from an estate sale a year ago, two years ago? I emailed back a forth with him a bit but never went down to actually look at what he's got. Anyone looked at the stash? Jdesign

Wonder did seller lose it or never had it? The likely scenario is that he bought the car as a project, didnt transfer title because it wasnt going to be on the road while it was being "restored". He did whatever he had to do, and when he went to transfer the title is wasnt where he left it. To buy a car without a title, and then put that kind of money into it (with the exception of a track car) would be a pretty big lapse in judgement. That being said, I've seen people do dumber things.
