DrLeadFoot
I did a practice tap on my old valve cover and it turned out to be pretty easy and not nerve racking. I was nervous about how much metal would be left after the tapping but I think we'll be good!I also scuffed up my rain rails to prep them for painting. This is what Rat has been up to. Installing a $5000 inverter from a yacht into the barn that he got for free.Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
DrLeadFoot
Update: Tuesday the e30 will go on jack-stands as soon as I get the new passenger caliper and rear brakes on the M3. E30 to do list: -I think I have sourced a drive-shaft that I will install. -My PLX wideband brain just arrived back from warranty work. Throwing that in. -Oil pressure sensor back light and signal wire. -CCV -Pull valve cover -Tap -Die grind port for more flow. -Change trans fluid -Top off diff fluid and RTV seal speed sensor. -RTV seal ICV connector and brace hoses underneath intake manifold somehow. -Replace Wilwood rotors and front pads. -Bleed front brakes. -Move BOV to brake booster vacuum. Going to T into that. -Install fuel pressure regulator. And that's it!!

DrLeadFoot
Trying to find the motivation to climb under the car and do the driveshaft and trans/diff fluid. I have a feeling that the guibo thing might have taken a crap.
jc43089
To fill trans fluid take out the shift boot and use a funnel with a hose from inside the car, no need to pump it in. DrLeadFoot
DrLeadFoot
To fill trans fluid take out the shift boot and use a funnel with a hose from inside the car, no need to pump it in. Good idea! That never crossed my mind. That was one of the things I was dreading.
jc43089
Worked great for me, but pour it into the funnel slowly, I had a brain fart and forgot my trans only holds 1.2 qts, for some reason I was thinking 1.8, so I dumped a half quart of redline on the ground.
