These are some neat projects.  We finally finished out basement as well.  Bought the house 7 years ago.  Basement was sorta finished, but just very white-box-ish.  So after a couple years we added a bathroom, then demo'd the rest, then it sat until the end of last year.  Finally got moving and finished it.
Basically how it started last year....we have pics of what it looked like when we moved in somewhere.  The whole ceiling was dropped and had conduit everywhere.  In these pics, the ceiling is gone and I relocated all the wires into the joist like they were supposed to be.

Here I have a bunch of the bar framed in and the plumbing pretty much done.  Had to dig a sumpcrock into the floor then route everything overhead.  I hired someone to do the framing but did the electric and plumbing, just to keep the project moving.

Ran a second zone of HVAC too.

Opened up the stairwell and added stair lights.

Exercise was staying the exercise room so it became a temporary home to a lot of crap

It was not fun getting things down the stairs, but having it opened helped A LOT

The movie room stayed the movie room but we had to fix the back wall (left side in pic) and the ceiling got insulated and painted black.

I hired out the drywall too.

    Movie room sucessfully blacked out

Decided to add some stone walls:

    The wifes design pallet

It was a long wait on the cabinets, but they started to roll in.

    Tin/copper ceiling was tricky

Then added more stone and more tin:

Then the big wait was for the counter tops.  So we finished a bunch of the other stuff

Finally the tops came in so we could finish the back-bar....more stone and cabinets.  Haha

    Movie room got furnished

    Appliances

Crown to finish off the ceiling

    Finish work on the stairs

Then....the coolest part.  We unpackaged everything we had been storing for 7 years from our old house.

Got it all organized.  Installed my lights and shelves in the towers.

We are still working on some things.  Decorations.  I want to build a bar sign for between the 2 towers.  It was a fun/stressful/rewarding/expensive project.

if you build a stadium in a toilet bowl, even if its made of solid gold, you still have to wade through shit to get to it.

Added another spring to the wastegates :). I've never experienced anything like this before, pulls so hard. Enjoy!

I’ve owned the car for just over a year. I travel for work and don’t put many miles on my vehicles. However, I am now relocating across the country and will need to part with the vehicle. It was purchased from the original owner, a fellow enthusiast, who took very good care of the vehicle, used all OEM or quality parts and did all preventive maintenance. My intention was to hold on to it for quite a while, which is why I have done so much maintenance in my ownership and spared no expense with upgrades. The car is set to go for a long time with all major maintenance done. It is ridiculously fast and will put a massive smile on your face getting on the highway or when you have to pass someone.
    The bad:
Small crack in front windshield, filled with glue and not expanding.
    Door dings.
ACC currently not functional from sensor not being properly aligned due to intercooler air flow diverter. Can be fixed by using a different intercooler such as a VRSF or similar. I opted for better performance as I do not use the ACC.

I think we should start an annual wibimmers scramble this year. I would definitely be in for that. And if anyone around milwaukee just wants to golf I wouldnt be opposed to it

Don’t know if anyone else here likes golfing, but I love golf. Not great at it, but usually shoot around mid 40s for 9. Been sharing my dads old iron set with my brother for awhile and decided to just get my own to get my own full set of clubs(had my own driver, wedges, putter).
Went with Callaway Preowned’s as I don’t need a $1000+ set of Mizuno’s or Titleist’s for my skill level. Purchased the Callaway XR’s in 5-PW in average condition, but received the XR Pro’s. Not complaining about a free upgrade.

Felt so good coming off the club when making contact, loving them so far. Birdied the first hole last night with a little 15 foot put. But proceeded to play as usual afterwards lol

    Procured a POS people-mover:

Couldn't decide what to do with the compact or what to replace it with, so I decided to buy another car to "fill the gap" between it and my next car so I don't have to drive the e21 everywhere... I can totally see myself dailying this POS for a couple years because I love it. I had a ton of anxiety about buying it because I was worried about all of the things that could go wrong, but as soon as i drove it, it made me laugh and it puts a smile on my face every time I get in it. I had forgotten how good it feels to drive one of these cars.
It's rusty, has a bad exhaust leak, the shifter has 3-4 inches of slop, drivers-side rear wheel bearing is bad, clutch engagement is weird (master cylinder?), brakes have some feels (not the good kind), along with innumerable cosmetic issues, but there's something about a dilapidated old e34 that just puts me in a good mood. Maybe it's nostalgia, but it's also impressive how something that's so old an improperly maintained can still run and drive as amazingly as an old e34. Maybe one of the last truly over-engineered BMWs?
