  1. 815AM this morning on I41 S near Racine Ave.  A fella in a silver N55 powered 335M Sport slowed down and downshifted next to my lowly e90.  Can't remember the last time someone picked a race with me.  It's been many years.  Always the same result. haha  Even better is that I was dropping the car off to have the oil pan gasket replaced, upgraded twins and inlets installed.  It'll actually be fast next time someone picks on it.

Nice! You've cut a better 60' than I ever have on my car with drag radials, lol.

It's not me.  It's the car.  I only have one better and one close on slicks.  e34 did a 1.58 and e28 did a 1.65  Both manual cars.

I have zero interest in a single turbo.  I wouldn't want to touch the drivability.

I'm not sure what I am going to do. For now I'm sticking with the style 5 weaves and 205/45/16 BFGoodrich Sport Comp 2's. I would like to get some drag radials though eventually. To be honest the gearing seems a little high right now and In a straight line it breaks loose shifting into second at 50 but quickly grips and powers through.

Once I source a 4.10 LSD things may change...

I run a 373LSD in mine with a much taller tire (255/40/17) and more power.  410LSD would work well for your setup.  GLD for the 1/4 mile?

Well, looks like it goes just as fast as your M20 on 18psi, with more low end and not as high-strung.

LS1 is actually pretty soft down low with a flat tq curve.  That's why it's doesn't spin the tires at 20mph in a 1st gear roll on.  Any cam and it'll become a top end motor.

  5. They had a higher output from the factory but they are about 100% more expensive to make go faster.  The 5.0 with gt40 heads, cam and an intake will put it around 300hp then you have the ridiculous aftermarket to make it even faster.  So much on the m60 has been optimized from the factory that your only options left are forced induction or a chip and cams which will cost quite a bit for minimal gains (chip and cams).

    Yeah a 300hp SBF typically has 350+tq so it's way faster than a m6x.
