I have a '91 325i Vert and bought the car with an exhaust leak. Most of the system is in great shape, but the previous owner shouldn't have been allowed near a welder. I have 2 seams that weren't welded all the way around. I am 90% sure he attached the exhaust system and welded it together later. The car sounds awful. Anyways the leak is near the passenger seat of the car. Do I drop the exhaust and weld up the seams or add a catalytic converter for a more stock exhaust tone?
I have been searching for an exhaust schematic and can't find anything about a cat, just a forward muffler. If anyone has any E30 exhaust advise I need it.
