I have to drive the mk3..........You make it sound like I actually like heated leather and nice speakers..... Besides, no car can climb snowbanks like the mk3. And I mean... NO car. Earl
I finally got my rear subframe parts all painted up=) I didn't take any final pictures like I thought though=/ I also realised that one of the wheel bearings is really bad and needs to be changed.I ended up getting all of the carbon off of the pistons, but yet again I didn't take any pictures. Here are the only pictures that I took: Before clearcoat: Sprayed the brake shields and hubs: Painted the diff black: Wednesday I will take pictures of them all finished. I will be pressing in the new bushings too hopefully. It is supposed to be warm for once, so I should be able to get some primer and paint on the block finally. Earl
^That's me=P lol I got a little bit done yesterday.I started by taping off the block. I ended up running out of tape so I could only one side=/I then laid down some primer:I then had to wait for that to dry, so I started working on the bay again. I busted out a propane torch, wire brush, and pallet knife.Passenger side:Driver side:I ended up having to quit that for the day because my brush bit the dust:By this time the primer was dry, so I laid down the paint:It was supposed to have more of a champagne tint to it, but it definitely looks good=) It looks like liquid mercury. Hopefully Saturday I will get the other side painted, as well as removing the crank bolt to pull the timing cover.I also snapped a few crappy pictures of my rearend parts finished up:And a shot of the pistons clean:More to come Saturday=)
