patsbimmer1 reacted in 1992 525it with an M30B35 Swap
Yeah no doubt Rowley;
I saw the forum Baxters talking about.
It's just a bunch of people from the south (who probably have never even seen rust before) saying "That cars past its prime" due to the fact it has minor surface door rust.
The P.O. who originally built it drove it in the winter but kept good care of it.
I don't care what anyone says;
I like it; it was super cheap (by my standards atleast);it's MY car; it's rare; and until I find out its totally rotted to hell and unrepairable (Looks relatively spotless actually..) I won't be getting rid of it anytime soon!
It's the first EVER M30B35 swapped touring in the U.S. and the swap is proper as fuck.
Baxter likes his E30 but won't sell it for anything less than 6k. Everyone thinks thats over priced. Does Baxter care? No. It's his car; he likes it; and that's what he'd sell it for.
My E30 was far from a perfect car and I also got cash ontop of the trade so I'm very happy.
H8ers gunna H8.
Or people are jealous that they don't have a swaggin' waggin'. who knows, right?!

I ran across the Mad City Vette website the other day and noticed they post their driving routes I was thinking it would be awesome to do one of these routes like every other weekend or once a month. Personally I'd like to drive them all by the time I put away the car next winter.

I must ask... Do you do hood rat things with your hood rat friends?
-

I always see a white E30 vert parked on Holton in da hood near my place. It's not that bad looking, and is refreshing to see amongst the hood rat stuff 'round here.

Maybe someone will appreciate this. Took my camera out of hibernation for a winter photoshoot of a friend's car.

I was talking to Chuck the other night when I was shopping the E30 Warehouse and Emporium, and we riffed a little bit on a couple of Auto X's with FVSCC on the Road America go kart track, which is less of an Auto X and more of a time attack.
Any interest?

I have a family friend who has owned a black Pantera GT-S for about 10 years now. From the second he took me for a ride in it I have been in love! Then he put a 514ci Cobra Jet with super cobra heads and it is crap your pants fast and the sound of the motor immediately behind your head as it screams down the road. It gives me the chills.

Had a red one of these come in when I worked at a local body shop. Needless to say, I fell in love with it as well. What a beautiful car.

My Toyota is an 85 but is the same as an 82, an excellent choice for hot-rodding through the mud.

I dont waste my breath talking to people that have fake wheels.

patsbimmer1 reacted to B C in Great article on the car scene today
I'd have to think that some of the attitudes mentioned in the article come about from the following scenario:
A guy with a lot of ingenuity and skills but not a lot of money, will work hard building up a relatively modest car over many years and will eventually polish that turd to become a highly capable performance vehicle or just a nicely styled clean and unique car.
Then this dicknose shows up and steals the show with something he or his parents bought.
Its not a perfect explanation as having money means you can build the nicest piece of crap ever, but it is the root of the phrase
"Built, not bought"

You also rock T-shirts with cats on them and pedophile glasses. Your vote simply cannot be considered. -
