Car made it to Utah and back without issue other than a vibration from the rear at 80mph which I suspect to be an axle or maybe a wheel bearing. More pictures and thoughts later.

I know we've got some fisherman in the group so I wanted to share this one my son caught two weekends ago up in Luck, WI on Little Butternut Lake.  According to my scale it was a 14lb bowfin!  He caught it on a size 6 hook fishing for panfish.  He hooked it and reeled it in all by himself.  It's easily the largest fish he's ever caught!

That's gotta be fake.  If there's not a body in the trunk this is a great deal.

I rented a Range Rover for my dad and grandpa to drive to Michigan next weekend and I'm really glad I read this.  I did pay the $30 ahead of time so my dad doesn't have to remember to wash the thing before dropping it off.
I'm curious how they're policing the "strict" cleaning and disinfectant policy.  There's no fucking way Turo can guarantee that and the $20 pre-trip cleaning fee added to the bill is just fucking pocketed.

Mods keep coming, but this is likely the last for a while. The F150’s that did not have the premium stereo options are pretty widely regarded as dog shit. I agree, it’s a serviceable system that does the job but is not good. Even after the F30’s non HK system, there was a lot to be desired. I purchased the following Infinity Reference speakers to do a complete 7 speaker replacement.

This is my first attempt into car audio so ordering through Crutchfield was a big help and the included adapters made things really straight forward for the door speakers. Tweeter and center console was some pretty straight forward butt connections.
This came with crossovers, but trying to route the wires is not something I am interested in taking on at the time being. Future project. You can see there’s a pretty significant difference in just the speaker build alone:

Overall, worthwhile improvement. Significant increase in just overall sound quality and texture, which is exactly what I wanted. A little additional bass as well. After doing this, I think a sub is required. Kicker makes a powered sub that fits behind the rear bench seat that looks just like the OEM style ones.

Same experience looking for an F250 XLT diesel in velocity blue.  I came across a couple where the “market adjustments” were astronomical as well. I’m holding out for a bit since my F150 still does what i need it to.

Agreed on the interiors.  Ford is way ahead.  Looked and looked for an F250 Lariat Black edition Diesel and couldn't find one, dealers that had them wouldn't deal on my truck, dealers that didn't were offering me the moon for it....so weird.  So, I found a Sierra and made a deal.  Very weird, but I made out OK.
Your coworkers truck looks great!  Ask him if he's interested in a RPG bumpstop kit, or fender liners, or mudflaps, or 2" drop shackles or Cobb Tuner.  All new in box (except the cobb, I'd have to see if it can be sold or if it's permanently married to my old truck).  I have some parts to get rid of..... hahaha.

    A couple small fixes

The drivers side headlight had its vertical adjustments backwards, Lee noted the SMC is the module responsible for these things, and that module helped me google my way through finding out the reset through ProTools (possible best $150 license I've ever bought). After a recode the headlight went right where it should and all motor directions are correct.

Drivers mirror was drifting around between drives which was annoying. Found a thread linking this issue to corroded pins in the mirror motor connector, so I pulled it all apart, cleaned up the contacts, and applied a smidge of dielectric grease before reinstalling. It seems 99% of people have had success with this, so I hope I keep the trend going!

The driveway situation, before I put the truck in front of the 128 and E30

Well, That was a fail. As probably seen on @pynacls build thread. He gifted me an Eisenmann Race muffler with 86mm Le Mans tips on the promise that if I ever go with another muffler setup, I gift it back. (That is Now on record for everyone to see)
Turns out my stock muffler was welded to the section 3. Good thing we have a parts car to swap section 3 + the muffler right?

    Wrong.
I undid 16 bolts to disconnect my section 3. Thanks @i_love_carsfor replacing those bolts as they came undone really easy. At this point Jake and I think to ourselves, This is going way too easy, we should check the parts car. Well turns out the section 3 bolts were both heavily rusty and rounded. So I had to put my car together and cry myself to sleep. Since the muffler was stuck on the parts car, I decide to repair the drivers side tip that was dented in the accident. I did alot of research and decided a tailpipe expander would be perfect for the job. I purchased one before I came and decided to give it the old college try. Ill let pictures speak for itself but I think its pretty much there. Just a hammer tap left and it is 99% back to normal. Will be paying a buddy to help me swap them at an Audi dealership with a lift..

The weekend wasn't all a loss because Pynacl and I went to the Imola Motorsports open house, He won a hat and I won the grand prize of a $500 2 year ceramic coating. (Will have it done this next spring.) I almost didn't win because I was too busy complaining that I wasn't winning ran up half way though them redrawing the number LOL.
Today since this weekend didn't go as planned I decided to install some bits and pieces I've had laying around for months. First was the Never Done M3 badge sticker. The old one was very faded and peeled off without a heatgun with ease. 2nd thing I did was replaced the side markers with OEM E38 amber side markers as the M3 and E38s share the same markers. In the pictures you can see the before and after a plastic polish and before and after install.

The car officially has 100% oem ambers. Yes, I am an amber butthurt, amber the world.

Finished drilling out like a million plastic rivet heads and reassembled the inserts into my door cards! Probably not the best solution but I resecured them using short self tappers (3/4”) and fender washers (20mm). Fit and finish is perfect, super jazzed how the swap turned out.

I should have just started a thread for this. But here the wheels are on the truck. 17x9 0 offset VenomRex VR601BL with 285/75R17 BFG KO2’s. Offset and sizing is just right to give it that perfect almost flush/slight poke look.

The look was exactly what I was going for and I am really glad I took a chance on the bronze, think they great on the truck. Wheel to tire to wheel well ratio is perfect IMO, no rubbing at all.

I've been low key looking for an E92 M3 for a year or two now, and have had little success in finding what I was after. Recently a forum members old M3 went up for sale for a staggeringly good price, but there was error in communications and it went to a dealer who then wanted 5k more than they got it for and wouldn't budge on it. Since then I had been keeping a more serious eye out.
This popped up the other day so I contemplated it for a day or two (that s52 head rebuild was not cheap) and decided to go look at it and deal with my decisions later. Needless to say it came home with me.
Awesome dealer specializing in higher end cars, he appreciated how thorough I was being in my inspection and questions and he was very honest with me about the whole thing. We struck up a deal and away I went.
Also got a ride in his FBO F90 M5 with meth that was ~800 AWHP and holy hell I have never felt something launch like that before.

    Anywho
08 M3 6mt 105k, carbon roof, black interior, premium and comfort package, Vorsteiner wheels, KW coils, glorified straight pipes on it (zero rasp, sounds amazing, just a bit loud inside)

It has been a riot thus far

This car moved a few months ago, and will be moving again in a few days. I will take some pictures 🤣
….and no, none of it will be forward progress, just me rearranging things.

Where might a great condition cinnamon interior be hiding? In a rebuilt title, dumpster of an M3 of course! Bought this 110k Imola on cinnamon E46 M3 yesterday to be a donor car. I'm swapping the cinnamon interior into my Steel Gray M3, then selling the car for a break even price to another for the motor/trans. Free cinnamon interior
Also found the car has a sweet Eisenmann exhaust setup. I'm donating it to @Rekpoint for all his help dismantling the interior and helping with the swap, everybody wins!
