tsweers89
We are at the point of picking a company logo. The company that is making it came up with these 10 solid options. I have to pick from there and then can refine it as I please. What's everyones thought? I like 3 the best.
Earl
I kind of like #
YoungCR
I think #3 too, maybe without the car would look best. Everything else is generic. MarcK
wasnt m3
I have to agree, both 3 and 8 are good choices. Simple and easy to read without being too generic. Both would work great on signs, 8 would be a little better for stickers and whatnot.
tsweers89
I think 3 without the car on top and next to bmw specialist I do maybe the bmw m colors?

patsbimmer1
I would do 3 without the car or 6. Most of those look like the design company wasn't even trying.
tsweers89
I would do 3 without the car or 6. Most of those look like the design company wasn't even trying.Considering for how much we are paying I'm ok with the designs. We went to a legit company and they wanted $2k to start up to $6k pending what was all done on the branding aspect of things. We are getting these for under $500. It's something we can use for shirts and business cards now and in 3 or so years when we do this full time we can get something a little more set in stone. REKIII
5 and 10 are my favs. Get rid of those three points on top of the GA though.
Earl
That's for the "W"... Even for $500, these don't seem like they have much effort into them. No offense

I woulda/coulda/shoulda came up with some designs for less than that. When you're ready to get some shirts, let me know and I'll hook you up with that WIBimmers special pricing. I do everything in house and don't have a minimum order quantity.

straight6pwr
yeah, of those, 5 and 10. you have to have a logo which can be used as just a small symbol, not just text.the company I work for has a 'logo' which is just the name of the company in a font style, and 1)its boring 2)its not very functional or adaptable. you have to think of how it will look 1)on a piece of paper as letterhead, 2)logo on a t-shirt and other swag 3)on a website, apps, digital advertisements, etc. i see a lot of companies under-estimate how much effort should be put into their first logo design. get it right the first time and save lots of time and money down the line. also, i'd stay away from anything that hints at the BMW roundel. nothing like spending money on all the design and merchandise to have bmw slap you with a cease and desist. I meant no disrespect to you in my comment so I hope you didn't take it that way. As you can see above, the designs they gave you were very bland and almost "stock photo" quality. For less than $500 you definitely can't complain though! I'm still leaning towards 6 but some of these guys have swayed me towards 5 as well. YoungCR
I didn't understand the 3 knobs were the W in 5, the bottom should have 2 knobs too then and separate colors.
REKIII
I'm pretty sure autowerks is one word, so if it's the W, I think it can be omitted. The reasons described by straight6pwr are the exact reasons I picked 5 and
CMart
Agreed, plus you don't want someone with a mercedes/audi/etc thinking you are only BMW.
tsweers89
Auto werks is two separate words. Also as of right now we only do bmw so putting bmw specialist at the bottom is good for now. I do not want a bmw reference in the logo itself as once we get going we will be taking on Porsche as well. Then I can just either add porsche specialist to business cards then as well. In the end we will only be doing Porsche and BMW. Honestly to me I think all these designs are clip art and boring. Nothing screams eye catchy or something I haven't seen already. We are reconsidering the old saying "do it once, do it right" instead of just getting something together now and then redoing it later once we go full time with this. Like I said, $500 is a lot for what you were given. Remember, logos do not last forever and sometimes have to be updated. I would stay away from anything too specific. I know you're partial to BMWs, but I'd leave the emblem off, along with any other noticeable BMW silhouettes. Not only because you paint yourself into a corner, but because companies have those as registered trademarks. Ask me how I know. If you want decent results, go to www.99designs.com. Designers from all over the world can build you a design according to your wants/needs. I think it's like $300 and you can choose the one(s) you like best. I'm not sure how it will stack up against what you've already been given, but I know there are some awesome designers on there if you can entice them to choose your project.
