GunMetalGrey
Why the odd input flange?
DrLeadFoot
Why the odd input flange? From the builder: I started with a circa 2001 z3m unit as its the newest for cosmetics; z3m just happens to use a round 4 bolt instead of square.Bmw uses both 4 bolt in round and square; 0 difference really; round is just newer like 1997+
GunMetalGrey
I kind of figured it would be something like that. Not a big deal at all. Just curious!Edit: I find it amusing that cosmetics come into play when selecting a case. I get it, because I always try to make my diffs look good, but it is under the car lol. I get it, but still find it amusing.
Earl
Talks about cosmetics and then leaves the mounting surfaces rusty......just kidding. Looks really good=) Can't wait to see this thing actually hook

DrLeadFoot
I called them and left a message. What time are you guys going? I have a late lunch with my parents and fiancée at 2:30 downtown Milwaukee. I could do it of I leave by 1:00.
i_love_cars
seems legit. Pat scheduled us for 10 a.m.
patsbimmer1
Like Jordan said, we're at 10am and a 3rd car will be there at 11:15 so I imagine they could get you on at 12pm. Apparently I have a wedding to go to that I told my wife we weren't going to attend since we don't know the people. I did not win that battle but I found out after I scheduled the appointment and told her I am not cancelling and if we're going to the stupid wedding then she can come with me to the dyno so I don't have to drive home to pick her up. I don't know if you can tell but I was a little angry about this lol. DrLeadFoot and i_love_cars

DrLeadFoot
Well this was a huge PITA.Broke off two pins of the TRM turbo chip thingy.Kudos to Snap for helping me out!!!I had an extra ECU that I grabbed from a junk yard back when Kummrow thought my harmonic damper problem was an ECU problem... But that $90 for the ECU came in handy because we used the wire holding the tag on to solder up the TRM chip! Now all is right in the world and she is running like champ! A little break up still but not as bad as before. I'm scheduled the 18th for some dyno pulls at Late Model Throttle in Waukesha, WI to get a better look at what is going on then I'll have TRM send me a better tune. DrLeadFoot
I'm more excited to have it not break up! 3rd gear gets shot up like Tony Montana but 4th and 5th are better. 4th bucks but hauls on the freeway.
