I don't have anything on-topic, so here's this instead.

A bit of a photo dump. Finally got my wheels on, and of course I went with a tried and true wheel choice for the E36. Apex ARC-8 in 17x9 et30 with a 225/45/17.






 

Just picked up a very nice 1999 Z3M Coupe this past weekend. Only 56k on the clock. Originally cosmos over black, repainted very well back in 2005 in Laguna Seca Blue. Can't wait to start modifying it! Stock currently, other than H&R springs. First order of business is finding some oem headlights.

Interior V2.0 has begun. Out with the cardinal and in with the black. 
I picked up a black leather rear bench this past weekend and a set of gray door cards. Cue the SEM Color Coat paint and it's now all black. 
 



Rear bench went in the car with one of the new seats. They're Recaro LXB with a houndstooth inserts and nappa leather sides. This is what I was envisioning when I started this whole thing. I'm going to order a rear bench cover from zoomzoomzoom-ing to math the front seats in color/texture. They're also going to mimic the stitching on the rears. 




I also picked up a new windshield and a clean rust/dent-free hood on marketplace. I put in the windshield and will save the hood until I also find a replacement driver fender. 
Last few things to do are:
Swap in the passenger seat and clean up the interior. Install a new DEM relay. I am getting intermittent no start because the fuel pump isn't getting power. I tried jumping the fuel pump relay and that did nothing. Took out and reinserted the DEM relay and it started working completely normal.  Charge the AC system. I just ordered a new receiver since the system sat open for several months. Replace both tail light gaskets. Already have these but I was getting water in the trunk through the tail lights when I washed it. 

I have two campsites, I believe @wasnt m3has 3. Plenty of space to put up a tent or park your car to crash in. Shoot me a text if you want a little space. The more people the more fun we have. 

Titan trim sucks. Such cheap build quality it shouldn't have even been an option on these cars. Mine was peeling/bubbling on every panel like you see in the photo below. I took all the pieces out, sanded them down with 200/600 grit, then primered and re-painted. Took me two tries because for whatever reason, if you don't use primer, paint has a strange reaction to the bare material and it'll bubble instantly. I ended up using Dupli-color "Storm Gray", which I believe is a GM color. Closest match I could and honestly would be hard to tell the difference. Seems like factory has a bit more warmer hue to it, but even side-by-side it's really close. Also new trim clip pins are $5 a pop!?
