Bimmerfan31 reacted to gramboda in New member in Appleton
Hey! Just thought I would introduce myself. Just got my YMB F82 this past fall. Traded by 335 M Sport and before that it was an X3. Wave if you see me around town.
Here is a pic as my car sat about a week after delivery. I'm currently in the process of mainly exterior color mods. Lowering and spacers is happening in a couple weeks, once the warm weather is consistent. It also has a JB4 Stage 1.

Slapping stickers on a Scion TC and calling it a "build" is a WCEC thing.
Going to Automotion in your Cobalt is a WCEC thing.
Nanotechnology is most definitely a WIBIMMERS thing

Yes, it is a mixture. You need to acquire the Tough Guard canister (available at Wal Mart) then fill it with the synthetic lubricant (check ambient application temperature for correct lubricant). Once full, you scrub it on the paint like you are using a buffing pad/sanding pad using circular motions.

My rule would be dont bring along non-BMW/non-WIBIMMERS buddies unless they are riding in your car (dont bring the Evo club with you)
That sounds kind of douchey but the gathering is for BMW folks and friends/members of the community. Some folks who show up to events have owned BMWs in the past but no longer do (Ryan and his P-car) or are friends of members and have been grandfathered in (Slonoma).
Random folks from Facebook/WCEC/vapebrothersmotorsports may not be trustworthy folks to invite to a slightly-spirited drive. We have a real close-knit community here and most of us have formed good friendships from our hobby. We know and trust eachother. Even if we dont know or trust someone, or there are new faces (which we always hope for), you could say that a true BMW enthusiasts has a better grasp on the "right place, right time" concept for spirited driving. Trust is key to help ensure safety/fun and to avoid pissing off other motorists, residents, or others we share the road with.
We hope to see you there! just dont invite the Evo club.

this guy deserves some credit. He probably got top dollar on his trade-in because he has a unicorn WRX, otherwise known as a WRX without cowboy buttsex fender flares and 11" wheels with -8 degrees of camber.
be sure to join us at Lake Mills C&C

Looks like you bought at Zimbrick, congrats! A few of us in Madison regularly meet up in Fitchburg on Sunday mornings at Barriques with other car people. I won't be around probably for a week or two but you should make it out there sometime!

Welcome to the wonderful world of BMW. A place where you dont need awd and a turbo to have an incredible machine.

Hello. Traded in a Subaru WRX for a 2013 BMW 335i xdrive with m-sport. Really liking the upgrade so far. Quite an enjoyable, and phenomenal drive.
Upgrades including some visuals first:
arrow kit (front splitter, rear defuser, etc...) Black kidney grills tint Then probably some performance upgrades down the road.

I finally found my "perfect" 135i just a few miles from my house hours before I was about to book a plane ticket to pick one up in Florida! 2013 135i in mineral gray with coral red boston leather interior, DCT, m-sport package, non-navi (I love the clean dash lines) with only 17,000 miles! Best part is she even came with a full set of alloy BMW rims and snow tires! Glad to join the fun! Pics below (just rained so she's a little dirty).

Cleanest car/best deal I have seen in a long time.
This thing needs to stay far away from all the Automotion and WCEC butt rape

I'd always rather drive to Concours when I lived out that way but now that I have used Zimbrick a few times they're better than both!

Bimmerfan31 reacted to cfoxtrot21 in Audi Convert Gets First Bimmer
Hello forum,
For the last 12 years, there has been a cyclical pattern -- Leased an A6 for 3 years, repeat, repeat, repeat.
The most recent A6 had all sorts of Electronic issues, which seemed to indicate a degradation of build quality. When the dealership GM contacted me (note: GM *was* a newly hired Sales Associate when I first started on this Audi trend), I let him know of the repetitive issues and that I'd be testing the marketplace for a new sedan.
After quite a bit of searching, this well-appointed, low mileage black beauty captured my attention -- a 2013 BMW 528i XDrive (known better around these parts as an F10 N20).
Now the Bimmer has a new home -- my first BMW, and also a divergence from the usual Lease path, this was a purchase. Alas, it's going to be around for a good long while.
Planning on some performance updates that will help the N20 engine breathe a bit better, along with some upgraded suspension equipment and a new set of wheels / tires to personalize. A friend of mine had great things to say about this forum, so here we are.
Cheers!
