This is America. I demand a special class.
Also, this "Cheese Wheel, Inc." will be getting a terse e-mail telling how disappointment I am in their support of a show that doesn't give special treatment to anyone who feels like they should get it.

Remeber too that the oil pump speed is propotional to engine speed. Oil doesn't compress, so the flow volume should be roughly proportional to rpm. My gut feeling is that an engine spinning 4000rpm doesn't require 4x the oil flow of one that's spinning 1000rpm. The pump is likely sized to provide barely adaquate flow at idle so that there's not exsessive losses and heat generated at higher rpms.

E12. Want. A little rust on the bottom of the doors, but looked pretty clean otherwise. Auto though

Car is back together and done! Cooling system is bled and once the car warms up it sits right below the center line of the temp gauge. With the cleaned and rebuilt injectors, cleaned intake ports, and new fuel filter it starts immediately on the turn of the key and revs much quicker than before. With the cleaned ICV it idles much smoother as well.
With everything cleaned up it looks much nicer under the hood as well, pretty happy with how all this work turned out

HipMF got a reaction from patsbimmer1 in N54 Procede v5... thoughts?
I'd just like to say that I have no idea wtf anyone is talking about here. The only V5 I know of was in a Honda MotoGP bike. Cobb, wedge and flash are bad jokes just waiting to happen. JB4 = some new formulation of JB Weld? BQ = short for BBQ?

Nice shots! Generally I'm not a fan of e36s, but that looks great.
Is it spring yet? I miss my e21.

Since that PSA came out about Snap and his m20 dealing, I've seen an oportunity to wedge my way into the illicit trade. Currently I'm operating at a loss, but once I get a foothold in the supply chain I should be able to capitalize.
...or maybe I should just refrain for posting while drunk...
Welcome aboard!

HipMF reacted to B C in Annual teardown v.5
Here is a breakdown of all the summer tire and track tire options in 15" from tirerack.com. I didnt include all-season or high performance all seasons to the table.
Heaps of options in 205-50 but that would be slightly stretched on an 8" wheel
I would like to do 225-50 but the prices are a bit stupid compared to the 205s
The last thing I want is stretched tires and 205s would have a slight stretch but this is a 205-50 on a 15x8, very acceptable. Much better than the 215-45 on a 17x9 that I just got rid of

How do you really feel?
Hopefully this doesn't turn into a thread-jack, but judging from the fact that it's a 'vert and is way-low, I'm guessing performance is not the primary goal. So why not M50? 10% more power, has better gas mileage and (pulling numbers out of my ass...) it's only 72% more expensive and requires 107% more effort.

Not sure who moved the sign, but I got a good laugh out of it:

Ad says he's selling because he's moving out east, otherwise it'd probably be sitting there for another 15 years.
"I planned to restore it myself so it comes with new fenders, emblems, and a carb kit." -riiiiight....
"...headers, and a 4-barrel carburetor... it goes like a rocket." -He means went like a rocket, and apparently is living under a rock because a Grand Caravan is probably faster in a straight line.
Anyway, if the ad is still up in a couple weeks I might take a look at it and offer him half what he's asking. It's a decent parts car.

These are still good right?
New kicks. Need to do something about that gap....
Hopefully I'll be back on the road soon, but:
