I can't speak for anyone else, but I've enjoyed seeing your camera and photography related posts, and I'm learning a little even so I'd say carry on. The shots lately have been awesome too.

I feel this. Literally nothing going on right now. I'm out there taking pictures of shrubs and trees and shit.

I'll be there that weekend running on the big track.  No ride alongs sucks this year, but at least we're getting out of the house...

I haven't read the ruling, but I'm sure it's reasonably fair. The legislature makes laws and can change them if they see fit, but it takes time. The executive branch took a quick action that it thought was necessary. That action was challenged in the judicial branch and was overturned. Checks and balances in action. I don't have a problem with any of that.
This is what I was reacting to:
Yes, I do have to leave my house. I need money to pay rent. I need to buy food. I also don't want to want to get severely ill, and would appreciate it if other people could not congregate because they think their right to drink a beer at a bar is more important than other peoples right not not get severely ill/die. Most people can be that courteous on their own. Those people at Nick's Bar obviously need some guidance from above so that we can try to slow this pandemic down.
Everyone has their own idea of where the line is between protecting peoples health versus protecting the economy, but too many people don't recognize that their behavior has a very real and tangible effect on other peoples lives. That goes for both sides. I'm not saying I have the answer here, just that everyone seems to think they have the answer and don't spend enough time listening to people who think differently than they do.

Been a little bit distant here but figured I'd give you guys a little bit of a hint as to what I've been up to lately. Plan on a build thread sooner than later. Recently re-swapped my LS e36 m3 with a built ls1 and some other goodies. I promise more details soon, just need to finalize some tuning.

I've been pretending to ignore the shudder every time I leave a stop sign for well over a year. I can guarantee whatever is wrong with my driveline is less than 1/10th as bad as that.
    Maintenance?

The classic "this is what lights at night look without my glasses" shot. Always found it amusing showing these to people and explaining that.

Photo's are coming along nicely! The one of the E30 does have a nice vintage flair to it!

there is a lot of ambient light in this area, so the exposures were from 5 to 15sec, at ISO400 f7.1
these were taken about 9pm. it was fully dark outside (besides the moon).  in my experience, the sky is always blue in long night exposures. from what I read, there are several things that affect that - the moon, time of night, light pollution, etc. i've never had a greyish black long exposure come from the camera. shorter exposures do tend to look greyish black.
my process is this - set the camera to an appropriate aperture (f7 to 9ish for 'landscape' scene) and low ISO and let the camera expose the scene. what will happen a lot is it will expose the maximum time (30sec on my particular camera) and the scene will still be underexposed. i then crank up the ISO until I get a reasonable shot. after getting a close exposure, i use exposure compensation to dial in the exact amount. that will make the camera add or remove a second or two from the exposure.  if its REALLY dark out and there arent many light sources, you'll also have to crank the aperture open
also a sturdy tripod and using the shutter timer (or remote) are 100% necessary for exposures these long. you still can handhold night shots, but you'll have to use a big apertures (like 1.8) and high ISO to get the exposure times down.
for example, this shot was handheld. It was shot at f2.2 IS01600 with a 1/4 sec exposure. even at a 1/4sec i took several photos to get one steady enough to be sharp.

and for funzees, here are some non-car long exposure night photos I have taken.

Our Road America group seemed to enjoy this, figured I'd post it here.
Grandfather completed the Skip Barber school in 91. As a huge racing fan and a high level craftsman, this is the result:

I'll post the other cars later. This was one of the first ones, the later ones were a significant improvement over these ones(I think he would agree). You can actually see parts of one of the others in the corner of these pictures. Free internet points if you can tell me which one it is based off.

This middle german 'style' building seemed appropriate. Fachwerkhäuser!

Milwaukee buildings are displaying red white and blue colors as a display of hope that we will get through this pandemic.

Finally got a lens on the new camera. It's not bad. Pictures are definitely sharper than my old Nikon. The Nikon was never very impressive in that regard. I'm interested to see how it does in low light once I get a faster lens on it.
    Coke for scale.

Best shot from my government allotted 20 minutes of outdoor exerciser.

The pancake lens seems pretty good so far, but it makes some really wonky bokeh balls. Guess you can't have it all. Probably not an issue since it's not fast enough to create a shallow depth of field anyway.

stopped at a couple spots while running errands and snapped a few more photos since the car was clean. tried to go to places that are now empty due to the situation where normally cars and people might be in the way.
my photo variety has been boring lately (lots of 3/4 wide shots), but whatever.
