Jeff got a reaction from suspenceful in Secret Santa 2017
Got my gift yesterday. Came in a pretty cool tube. The contents of this tube was a pretty awesome print of the M series that have been made over the years and an e30 decal. Will get this up as soon as it flattens out. I have the perfect spot in the office for it.
A big thanks to peter AKA p_roloff

Looks like I got to participate without even participating!
As a recent Amazon Prime member, I've been ordering a handful of things from Amazon this month. Christmas presents, personal items, etc. Yesterday there were two boxes from Amazon on my porch. This is the norm at my house, so I didn't think much of it and opened them. To my surprise, not only one, but TWO BMW E92 M3 remote control cars! These ones are black and a little smaller than the two white ones I've received via WIBimmers Secret Santa 2015 & 2016.
What makes this even funnier is that a random package showed up a few days ago which I wasn't expecting (again from Amazon). I opened it up and to my surprise it was a black remote control M3, the SAME as the two I just received. My girlfriend found out that her sister accidentally sent it to my house on accident and that it was supposed to be my Christmas gift. I laughed as she asked why I didn't seem excited. I had to explain that I've been getting these for Christmas for two years in a row already. Am I that hard to buy for?!
Now I have a total of 5 remote control BMW E92 M3s... first world problems
I'll post a picture, but might wait to see if I get any more (you never know). Thanks guys!

Jeff got a reaction from Earl in Floor jack recomendations?
I have a low profile 4 Ton jack from tractor supply it was great until the swivel joint to raid and lower broke. I did however weld a craftsman swivel socket in to replace that part and works great again.
I have a craftsman jack that is about 35 years old and still going,I keep it around just in case I need it. Not sure how the quality of craftsman is any more seeing as every time I use there tool one of them breaks.
The Napa auto parts by me has some really nice jacks also. If I ever have an issue with mine again I will be getting one from there. The quality seems great compared to everything else.

Update
Today I will be receiving my Spal fan, control arms, a non Uro brand ICV hose and a couple other small bits. A silicone intake boot is on its way and Mitch has the fuel hoses under the intake that I need to get those connections finished.
What I have left to order is an new brake master cylinder (just because), and oil distribution block for my oil pressure sender, water temp gauge (to replace my vacant boost gauge spot), new front sway bar links since AFAIK they are original. I never upgraded them when I replaced the sway bars since I wanted to do it right with the correct length/adjustable links. I also plan on overhauling the brakes since these ones are on year 7 (a couple years of not driving of course -___-)
aaaand last but not least, re-welding the shift linkage that I rotated the wrong direction, installing the driveshaft, welding in the skid plate and finishing the exhaust system. This involves fitting a y-pipe with an o2 bung installed, adding a 2nd resonator, and finishing the connection over the subframe to the muffler.
Thanksgiving weekend I will attempt first startup in all its open header oxygen sensorless glory. There's no reason it shouldn't just fire right up apart from the fact that the whole thing has been tampered with.
Early January still looks good for a maiden voyage so long as there is a day with dry roads not plastered with salt dust.
PS: Don't "like" this post. there is nothing exciting about it.
