So I had to take a trip into Idaho for work and drove the 128 there. I was about to head back home and was scrolling around the map on my phone, and this caught my eye.
In my experience google likes to route through some random shit from time to time, so why did it not make this my primary route?! Turns out to be the windiest road in Idaho.

Turns out to be excellent condition pavement, massive drop-offs on the downhill side, and a ton of fun. Made a couple laps of it!
I haven't pushed that car too hard before, and I didn't really want to find the limit of it with the consequences that were present, but man that thing really maintains traction.

Well, it was successful! The PLA material I printed the wrench from is actually pretty damn strong. I'm surprised.

This week I officially accepted a position with SD Wheel/Fitment Industries/Custom Offsets as the Commodity Manager over Suspension and Accessories and gave notice at my current job.  I'm thrilled to start working with these guys in a segment that i'm so passionate about!

How does this compare to the number of tests being done?  It looks alarming but it needs to be overlaid with how many tests are being done, otherwise it is useless.  Also death numbers would be helpful.  According to DHS it does not appear that deaths in Dane county are rising at all thankfully.  DHS

Well, taking a little break from having a fast BMW. Sold the compact to @alexw and am just having fun with my '96 Volvo 850 daily.

And I blacked out the kidneys on the X3. Excuse the filthy garage.

REKIII got a reaction from Ryan... in Garage Floor Epoxy vs floor tiles?
I've been debating on this topic for awhile now.  I was totally on board with the epoxy leaning towards professional install just to make sure it was done right with a high quality product, but it does seem like there are a lot of quality DIY options.
But......The use of epoxy still scares me.  I've seen it damaged from weld spatter, tire chirping, dropping heavy things on it, etc.  It seems like repairing epoxy is, at best, a band-aide and very visible.
Racedeck or other similar snap tile is expensive, noisy, and doesn't handle jackstands, etc well.  Not to mention the disgusting underside that becomes a reality after a few years.
I understand that my take-aways aren't the same for everyone and a quality debate could be made of any of them.  But.....I researched another idea and really like it.
Armstrong VCT (Vinyl Composite Tile).  Basically the stuff Targets and Walmarts use on their floor.  It's relatively cheap, needs little prep, easy to install and very hardy.  It can be waxed (high end commercial waxes work best) and if you do damage a tile beyond what wax will fix, you can replace that tile.
There are a lot of different colors and patterns you can use and they are readily available.  Another huge advantage is that you can do a section of your garage, then move stuff onto that section and do another section.  You don't have to completely clear out a space for days while the install happens.
    Just another thought to consider.

This unlawful execution is bringing out the worst in everybody, a few riots should not dismiss the black lives matter movement the same way a few bad/corrupt police departments should not call for all law enforcement to be shut down.

If my count is correct, it was over 10 years ago that I sold my previous e30 to @visian , so it was time to pick up another.

It’s a 1987 325i 5 speed in schwarz over cardinal. My friend’s parents owned it for the last 10 years but only put 3,000 miles on it during that time, and it’s been stored out of the elements.
We’ll see if this gets a thread or not. I’m not planning on going crazy with this car. This will be the simple, carefree summer cruiser to serve as a counterpart to the angry, money pit Volvo.

It is MY responsibility to protect MYSELF from idiots.  Not the government.  I HATE that the government made a law requiring seatbelts, I ALWAYS wear them, to protect myself, not to be protected by the government.  If I'M at risk then I don't go to places where I could be exposed.  This is all MY responsibility.  I do not need, not want the government to do it for me.
    That is the difference here.
Same thing with the people at the salon, people who are sick or think they are sick are asked not to come.  If they are showing symptoms and come anyway, they are asked to leave.  Staff is wearing masks and in some cases face shields, clients are required to wear face masks.  If a staff member feels to uncomfortable with the situation, they are not coming in.  This isn't racket science.  This is personal responsibility, and part of that responsibility is understanding that there are idiots out there and doing what you need to, to mitigate risk.  If I was 97, asthmatic, and was going through Chemo, my risk would be a lot different than if I was 27, and healthy.  Sure, bad things can happen to anyone, but it's about managing risk as you see fit for yourself.  As soon as the government tries to manage my risk for me, it's a no-go.

I was moved to working from home right before the lockdown. All client worked immediately stopped, except for a school client. My boss permanently closed our office and moved out in April. Our company was luckily to get the small business loan to help with expenses for a couple months. Future is unknown, but closing the office was not a positive omen.

It was just some satire  There are much darker things that get laughed at every day.
The video was not directed at anyone in particular.  You don't need to correct everyone who doesn't agree with the CNN narrative.  You confirm the satire of the video if you don't think for yourself and just accept the hysteria created by the media.
