I recall the time @B C (baking coordinator) had me drop off turbo parts for ceramic coating and I swear he did them within 24 hours.
Nothing better than covert turbo operations in a subway parking lot.

    Gettin' those groceries.

Now that I've got real tires on I'm no longer breaking traction every time I hit boost, which makes for a slightly less nerve-wracking commute. I'm also learning when and how much to lift when I hear the turbo spooling so that I'm not rocketing off like a boy-racer every time I leave an intersection. I was initially concerned this thing would be undrivable at autocross, but I think it will be fine once I get used to the power delivery from the turbo and adjust my throttle control accordingly. Fun times.

Disregarded the instruction to leave it to a professional and installed a new MAF sensor because unlike my fried chicken, I like my throttle extra crispy

I google searched leather treatments that work well for Nappa leather, found 2 people who seemed to like a product called Trinova on some obscure forum somewhere and that was good enough for me to blow some money.
Its clear and oily unlike the shampoo-like stuff from AutoZone that seems to do nothing.
its alright. It didnt turn the leather back into a baby cow or anything but its an improvement. Not like you can really tell anything from this crappy pic

Have been driving the car for a bit, pump still makes a noticeable whine. No leaks (hooray) from the PS system, but now I have a loud pump. Checked chase bays troubleshooting guide:

the clamp I was sent is as tight as I can get it, so now I’m wondering if I have a clamp that is too large. I have to get them the PN off the clamp (which is facing the block and not easy to see) so they can figure out if what they sent me is correct. 😒

In other news my spacers show up tomorrow and I get wheels mounted on Wednesday.
I bought a fender roller just in case lol

Compact decided to puke out it's coolant and severely overheat on the highway yesterday. Pretty sure it's toast. Currently car shopping/exploring my options...

Signed up for July 15th track day at Blackhawk Farms with @patsbimmer1  . I'd love to see others sign up. A track day with a group of friends would be amazing fun!

All signed up for July 15th at Blackhawk Farms!  I have a buddies trailer that I can use if I choose to so I think I may do that just for the convenience of not having to haul everything in the car.
    Can't wait!

45mph she really came alive, this wasn't too surprising as I have determined most ball joints are bad in the current axles. New axles seem to have better ball joints so that should help.

Did my first off-road adventure with it and holy crap driving manual in demanding off-road terrain is a wild time. I should be good at dancing after this!
Slipped a front wheel into a pond, whoops.

Doesn't look like it has. I'll have to give it a try.
*Edit; I do not have slots. I have like a pirate hook looking deal on the lower bolt.
    Pic from tonight.
