    Yup, six bent exhaust valves.

More concerning is the nicks in the pistons that I think are beyond salvageable.

I'm afraid this rotating assembly is toast.

Exhaust was delivered. Once it's warm I'll give it a go getting it installed. Hopefully the bolts are too far gone. I don't have a ton of experience with doing exhaust related work.

Given the location here’s a guess. There is an outside temp sensor that fits in the e30 325i/s drivers side plastic brake duct, the sensor plugs into a connector with wires that feed info to the onboard computer on your dash.

This last weekend I got the opportunity to go to the Rolex 24 with Michelin and it was absolutely amazing!  The race was awesome but the people we got to watch it with made it even better.  Our hosts were Paul Gerrard (The American Stig, Grand Tour), Didier Theys (Winner of Rolex 3x, Sebring 2x and 3x Lemans podiums), Butch Leitzinger (2x Lemans winner, 3x Daytona winner) and Kelly Williams (CASCAR driver and Pfaff motorsports driving coach).  We got to do a lap of Daytona with Paul in an M5 CS which was absolutely insane!  You think you've driven fast until you drive with a professional driver 🤣.  Doing 165 around the oval and 100+ through the infield was an experience I will never forget.  These guys did corner tours with us and had us looking at the driving in a whole new light.  The way they can diagnose what's going on and verbalize it is seriously impressive.

Glad it made it! USPS folks working the counter were a bit confused about the mailing address. In the time it took to explain that yes it was an actual street address, I felt I could have almost driven out and left it on your porch.

Ope I lied time to open the hood back up. Forgot that when I was doing the headers, setting the expansion tank out of the way on it's side broke the measure stick off. Since it was brittle enough to break that easily I figured it's time to replace the whole tank and hose. Installation was super easy with this huge syringe I got to suck all the fluid out and pump it back into the new tank, took no more than 15 min total. Only downside was the cost. Just the hose to the tank was $80!! Since I couldn't find any aftermarket alternatives on FCP, I bit the bullet. Also managed to fish out the loose piece while I had the tank out, thankfully it didn't make it's way into the cooling system.

The package made it safe without issue in what I'd assume was within a day or two. Kind of crazy to think that people at the local post office aren't familiar with the format of addresses in this area. Pretty much everyone out this way has an address with the west and south coordinates. Anyway...I love my gifts!

I was using the West Allis office at Oakland and HWY 100 so different players. But I do know who you are talking about at the New Berlin post office. That one does have its share of characters working the counter.
The lady behind the counter at West Allis kept saying I needed a correct street address and I kept trying to explain to her the street layouts in Dousman and that the necessary information was already on the label. After a while she tweaked the address in computer and marked "Highway 67" in ink on the mailer and said OK we're good.  I figured if worse came to worse the actual delivery person who does the route daily would figure it out.
Crazy world. Hope all of you folks get your deliveries without drama!

Kind of forgot to post this, but anyways my secret Santa found me an old German m coupe dealer brochure, AutoWeek magazine from 98 featuring the m coupe, and a CCA beanie. Love it all!

Thanks to Santa (Chris) for the great e46 3-series sedan dealer brochure (many many pages of detail and options), M3 poster, and BMWCCA calendar!

You're welcome! It's too bad the paint samples got damaged from being compressed over the years but all the tear out samples to build your spec I though was pretty neat.

I’m thinking I’ll probably use it this winter/spring on mine, so I’ll keep this in mind. Was just debating whether to buy the oem tool, this solves that!
