alexw
I had green wheels on my m3 for a while. There cool... But you have to think about how others see you when you pull up for a job interview, etc...Just the adult in me speaking from experience. wasnt m3
Why is it that every wrx owner needs to have super bright wheels??
Ryan...
Cause they look hella-bright? I had red wheels on my black e30 back in the day, I've always liked colored wheels Looks like I'm getting some flat black NTO3s, but they may end up being powdercoated/painted down the road. If I could get a really glossy, or almost chrome finish gold I'd be super happy.
alexw
Lol. Fads.Just rock a silver or gunmetal color if you're painting the car black.
Earl
^or bronze=)
Ryan...
But.... that's so boring lol Sucks, cause I like black wheels, I like black cars, but I dont like black on black. Black/silver is boring, and I dont really like bronze :/ This might be the exception: This makes me wanna paint it white.. Edited April 18, 2012 by Ryan... Earl
Those the wheels you getting? What about neo Chrome or hyper silver?
Ryan...
Yep, same wheels. To get anything neo chrome would require anodizing at the very least :/Might have to get silver though, almost all the black ones are back ordered. Ryan...
I bought them in black.. Now I have to decide between 235/40 and 245/40.. I'm leaning towards the 245 to kind of take away some of the wheel gap.
industrialsized
or you could just drop that highboy beast, its not like its current ride height is useful in snow or anything
Ryan...
I'm looking at picking up a full "summer" suspension setup (2" lower up front, 1" rear), then throwing my current (taller) suspension back on for the winter months. Plus, I now have winter tires lol
straight6pwr
silver wheels are the best on black. black wheels disappear. gold stands out too much. i always wanted to try a dark bronze though, but pulling it off would depend on the wheel style. Brian.
Ryan, black chrome them, they'd look good on it with it currently silver, an when if you go black, it'd still look sharp, black chrome is sexy
Ryan...
If I could find someone to coat them like that......
Brian.
Yeah I don't know how you'd go about that... I don't even know how they black chrome them. I'm assuming it's the same as if you were to chrome a rim, aka dipping it, but in black chrome.
Ryan...
It's probably similar to anodizing then, but I don't know how to go about doing that to something a large as a wheel.. I used to get my paintball gun accessories anodized often..

industrialsized
black chrome is simply a black powder coat after chroming
Ryan...
Brian, I'm workin a double tonight and tomorrow night :/I asked for overtime and now they're stealing my Friday/saturday nights lolHow do you powdercoated over chrome? Lightly spray black over the chrome?
Earl
Is anodizing Shizzit expensive?
Ryan...
Getting paintball guns done was usually around $200. That consists of a bunch of separate pieces plus disassembly etc...
Brian.
I'm assuming black chrome would be pricey, but so sexy
Ryan...
So, who here is into guns and such? I got all this stuff for work, with a 15% discount, for $234.56 (not including glock).
