So I figure this is pretty off-topic... any of you guys have any potential interest in a silly old volvo 240 with a low-mile late-model turbo motor swapped in and ready to go? Everything works, engine bits are fresh, brakes are new, suspension is new.

Anyways, having two 240 turbo projects is a little silly, so I'm getting rid of one. If anyone has interest, I can give you more details a little later.

For now, here's a teaser picture. (apologies for hood being open...)

these cars aren't terribly common around here... especially early model, and with this swap, and the cool single round & flathood front end.

The story I got was that they had some really shady FI tunrs over the years. The owner is supposed to know his stuff about carbs, but carbs are black magic to me, so I stay away anyways. The current FI tuner is OK, but only works nights and weekends so it's annoying to a lot of customers.

I don't think there is anything bad about them, just wouldn't take any of my vehicles there.

I heard something about their dyno being off and reading much higher than what is actually being put out.

That wouldn't surprise me. Almost every Dyno has a factor in it that can be changed to manipulate the numbers. It's up to the user if they want fake numbers. THe important thing is the change in the numbers during a tune, or after mods. Seems like a jerky thing to do though.
