It's a curse... they need attention.
I love driving my 1er in the winter.

Challenge: as you are pulling up to spectate see how much of a lap you can complete before things go really bad inside the car

Well, my beater is sounding like it's about to die. I'm biting the bullet and getting snow tires put on my 1er tomorrow. So I guess I wont' have to miss driving it anymore, lol.
My vmr 710s are worn a bit anyway (some peeling clearcoat) so they will make good winter wheels.
Gives me a good excuse to buy a new shiny set of APEX EC-7 for the track/summer. Now I will have to debate though between black or anthracite finish

National and Moorland in Nuevo Berlin.
Brand new black Alpina B7.
You are a true space cadet. Thanks for making the entire line of traffic miss out on our left turn arrow due to checking your stupid ETrade account/ordering some sickass italian boots or whatever. I enjoyed watching you understeer as you finally made your turn, flooring it, right as oncoming traffic set off through the intersection.
You reinforce the douchebag bmw stereotype well.
I hope your dick falls off in the near future.
Yes, my left turn arrow was that important.

He didn't want to be associated with me so he said "a co-worker". I can't blame him.

Not that I am biased in ANY way, but....this is sound advice if I've ever heard it

i_love_cars got a reaction from dastuz in Your experiences with fine handling BMWs
This is what sold me on BMW.
An old boss of mine was into M cars and tracking, he introduced me to his e30 m3 and e36 m3. I think CYoung has it right in that they all handle great, but it's the delivery that differs. E30 felt like a go-kart to me, the e36 was just a bit more solid. I drove Dastuz's e46 m3 when it was stock and it was incredibly balanced - once the suspension work was done, the car had 0 roll and was totally predictable. Crazy.
That predictable driving experience is really what does it for me. Even on my 135 which is much softer than an M3, the car is incredibly predictable. Admittedly it was less predictable at the limit before I put the LSD in, but for spirited driving on twisties, even without the LSD it was predictable. I was amazed at how well it was able to cut up Blackhawk on stock suspension, given how technical of a course Blackhawk is.
I will say this - 135 is the latest model I will have for the foreseeable future. While I still believe BMW makes new cars in the M department that handle well, I still don't get the raw connectedness to the road that the older cars give. I am afraid of the age of electric steering and dynamic dampening and computer controlled shit like that. Cool tech but on the track I don't want that. I mean, what's the point of going to the track if the car does everything for you? To me, my 135 is the last hurrah of some semblance of BMW's driving history.
I definitely see myself picking up an e30 at some point.

nice Pat, looking forward to seeing the rest of them. I yanked the big picture from the park with all of our cars for my new cover photo on FB - I feel this properly expresses my love of BMWs

I don't see any issues with this. To be honest there aren't any good cruise roads around here for spirited driving. You have to head out towards West Bend / Kettle Moraine Scenic / Elkhart Lake. That's great and all but it does require a good amount of time and we're starting late for that.
Lake venues for photos sound just fine.
We appear to have a lot of people coming so extended cruise routes are tougher unless we have walkie talkies. I've done larger group cruises like that before and when you have like 20-30 cars it's immensely more organized if people can get on walkie talkie channels to account for joggers/bikers/animals at the front and also if there are people falling behind.

Milton, yea you're nowhere near where I'm talking about meeting up, ahha. Dammit.
I'd like to see everyone roll in together because they park German performance cars together usually so it would be easy to line up for better photo opportunities.

It takes about 25 minutes to get there from Thunderbay Grille by 164/J, so if we meet at Goerke's then I would say 7:15 is probably good
