jc43089 got a reaction from BsE46 in Savin Big Money Project Thread
I am posting to keep myself motivated, I have a lot of stuff I would like to do over the winter so I need to keep at it to be ready by spring.
To Do:
Pull engine
Drop subframes, gas tank etc
Weld in chassis reinforcments
Rocker rust repair
Redo undercoating on bottom
Remove broken ABS
Install M54B30 intake cam
Install E46 330 front brakes
And then put it all back together.
Here's what I am starting with
Mileage parked 11/10/13
DS front rocker
DS rear rocker
DS rocker and door
PS front rocker
PS rear rocker
PS rear wheel arch
Cams, just using the intake
Brakes, 325mm oil bottle for reference

Looks like we are gonna have to make a gnarly BMW injury thread with an award of a blue red and purple heart award each year for the most gnarly.!

A friend once showed this to me and it was a really nice neat breakdown of basic changes and their effect on handling. Click to enlarge the images.

I do love the Arctic Grey, I haven't seen very many around. I have way too much time/money into this car to let it go, I guess it's just an e36 but there are very few cars I would want instead. Perfect blend of performance, great DD, and luxury. I hope to have this car for a long long time.

Worked great for me, but pour it into the funnel slowly, I had a brain fart and forgot my trans only holds 1.2 qts, for some reason I was thinking 1.8, so I dumped a half quart of redline on the ground.

Shirts will arrive from American Apparel next Wednesday and then the screen printing process will begin. Should be about another week after that so I'm thinking we will have these around Oct 9th.

As long as you install with a left handed wrench it should be fine.

jc43089 got a reaction from BsE46 in how to replace e36 control arm bushings with no press
I have the centered hole m3 ones, I took them to my neighbor's auto shop, he knocked the old ones out with the air chisel and put the new ones in with a bottle jack type of press. My wife makes them a batch of cookies and we are even lol.
I cut the rubber out with a box cutter.
