M318
Does anyone know what is going to happen once I wire this up with the obd2 wiring into my obd2 car? I have the ews2 system in my car and I doubt it is going to start because the chip in my key is different than what the DME is looking for.... M318
Custom Oil Filter cover. Let me know if u need one. $40 or $30 with core.
jc43089
Royal Purple goes in the dif. Get it at Napa or amazon. http://royalpurpleconsumer.com/product-categories/automotive/#!max-gear Did you paint and then machine the oil filter cap, or just paint and then sand off the top of the ribs? Looks cool either way
M318
Of course it was crinkle coated then machined on a lathe 2 days after it was dry. (that stuff takes forever to dry) But once its dry it is hard as a rock. I used the same paint on my M44 Valve cover and it was great. M318
I was told by Automotive Specialists that they couldn't turn my flywheel for my S52 because it was two piece. They told me to clean it up with a mild abrasive on a rotary tool. So I did that. Any one have any other Ideas before I put it in?Here it is "cleaned up" (I try to be a perfectionist)
GunMetalGrey
They are correct in that you cannot turn the dual mass flywheels. Your mating surface looks fine to me. Good looking build so far! Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk
Earl
I know a shop that can turn dual mass flywheels but it is far more expensive than turning a single mass.
M318
Like how much? Also do you think I need to? I am a perfectionist though I wont be happy with any chattering. Also I got a brand new Sachs clutch kit.
M318
My poor S52. Here she hangs because I don't have that retarded thin metal shield.

M318
SHIT all i can find is the automatic transmission cover plate! Is the Manual one the same do you think? I actually need a S52 cover plate though not an m4x. Or any 6 cylinder. I dont see why the manual and auto would be different cover plates... they both bolt up the same way. jc43089
Same part, look at more applications on pelican, it shows manual/auto m50/52, s50/52. Not sure why the description on realoem and pelican say "auto trans cover plate".
