You'll have to keep an eye on this auction to see if you got a good deal on your car 😛

Replaced the resistor tonight, fan works on all speeds. Success! Except, for some reason, it runs even when the fan speed is set to 0. It sounds like there is a slight speed difference from 1 to 0, makes me think it’s a short somewhere rather than a bad switch or something. Anybody had a similar experience? I think for now I’ll just pull the fuse during the summer when I don’t use the heater to prevent excess wear on the motor, I don’t particularly care to dig through the wiring harness to fix it.
Is the recirc or AC button by chance on? If either of those are pressed, it’ll turn on low speed blower motor (even if your fan is set to 0)

I finished up all of the door trim pieces and I'm very happy with the look! Very subtle while still being eye catching.
Next up is something I've been wanting to do for awhile! GTS DCT tune and motor tune are on order from Alpinemss! I'm probably most excited for the GTS DCT tune. The DCT is good to begin with, I can't imagine how it'll drive with faster shifts!

If you really care, get the dampers valved to match the rates you want, or get rates that work with the stock valving.

To be honest, I think this made me want to do autox less. Back country driving with the windows down is what I have always enjoyed most and this was the epitome of that. I cannot say enough how idyllic the driving experience was. Autox would just be a let down to me.
get that BBK installed so you never miss a good 4-way stop at an intersection
edit - everything I do is sarcastic, don’t take me seriously on here

But because of the nature of this event, people were there because they wanted to drive their car.
I sense an autox in your future

This was the one I bought:
EPAUTO Spill Proof Radiator... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I40ZQWE?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
cap threads on decent enough, but had to use a mix of the red adapter and the gasket from the factory bmw expansion tank cap.
the design of the expansion tank throat was really annoying and required this mix-match of pieces to get it to seal properly

Got the tstat housing/radiator stuff wrapped up on Saturday and took it to the Dells for autox on Sunday. 1st of 3 in XS-B and 5/82 in raw time.
rained for our last heat which was honestly more fun than the dry heat.
car preformed awesome, just think I need to burp/bleed the rad some more. Have a bleed funnel thing showing up on Friday to help.
