Love seeing updates here. But I have to balance the love with some hate so I hate that style of fuel injector connector

Nice series of updates - I can't wait to see this in person.  Awesome work so far! 👍

That doesn't make it right, Earl. Keep poke and stretch in the bedroom.

I have been really really lacking on updates, So I am going to take the shotgun approach and share some of the progress I have been making. Here are a bunch of pics of the motor in the car. I used a level and a plumb bob to get the motor where it needs to be and Chris made some brackets out of the stock M20 mounts because we agreed they look awesome.

On a side note, look how perfect the shifter fits in the stock shifter location!! It was meant to be!

I believe that was first posted in this thread a few years ago. I can't imagine why they haven't sold it yet....

A very suspicious-looking package was on my doorstep last night! So suspicious that I just couldn't wait to open it...

Who would've guessed that Santa Claus has been lurking these very WIBimmers forums?!

After cracking open the Pagan Worship kit, this is what I found.

Fugg yeah... brown undies and a E92 M3 remote control car! I couldn't wait to try on the underwear, but I figured pictures were best left to the imagination. They fit perfectly. Now I can shit my pants and no one will be able to tell.

The remote control car is actually pretty sweet. Headlights and taillights illuminate, suspension and turning, and of course RWD. I think the actual M3s are a little faster than this thing though. I chased the kitten around my house and that was funny. Thanks to whoever this is, pretty sweet gift to add to my BMW office area.

I should be sending my gift out on Monday via 2-day priority.

I used a screwdriver and chisel to get as much off as I could, then grabbed the wire wheel and got to work.

He said he pulled off as much as he could, then wire wheeled the rest off with an angle grinder
He said it's a bitch and makes a mess

The only cure is hitting rock bottom with a major failure, and rehab. The problem is the addiction is still there, and so are all of your old friends, begging you to back to the life style you wished you could leave. It takes over your life, and empties your bank account. You realize that there is no cure, just temporary abstinence. Turbos will consume you, and your wallet.

Control arms aren't something you should go cheap on. Especially since your car is slammed and it puts more stress on your ball joints. It would suck to have one let go driving and damage your car/hurt somebody!

No pictures but I putzed around a little yesterday.

Removed the drivers window for the last time. I cleaned all of the grime off that would normal sit below the window seal inside of the door. I then recleaned the inside of the door and reinstalled the window. After that I scrubbed the upper window seal with soapy water to remove little bits of plastidip that were still stuck to it. I then installed the lower window seal. I only did the drivers side for now as I am still tracking down a passenger window.

Once that was all together I used a battery to directly power the sunroof motor to get it open. I started cleaning up the tracks and surface for the new sunroof seal. I may remove the cassette to make it easier to recover the fabric shuttle and to thoroughly clean all of the sliders and rails. It depends on how clean I can get it tonight.

Other than that I have just been ordering little odds and ends that I still needed for the air setup.

The tail lights on the Green Z15 look like they are from some other european hatchback but I cant figure out what it is. Like from some Fiat, Citroen, or Opel. Anyone else see what i'm seeing?

A lot of the concept cars that BMW creates are not quite intended to become a future production model, but rather they are engineering exercises. The materials, production methods, and other designs developed during these engineering brainstorming sessions are not visible/known to the average Hans that is looking at pictures. Knowing more about their development brings me more amazement at least.  The BMW i3 production for example which I would like to highlight sometime in the future has some amazing sustainablity related production methods.

I decided against that. I am going to use DEI heat wrap on a bunch of stuff so I don't want the golds clashing. I did add a little metallic flake in the paint so its kinda gold.

So I am way long overdue for an update. I started the Swap and will post pics and such in the next few days. In the meantime I am curious if anyone has some good input on booster-less brake setup or converting their E30 to run a smaller brake booster.

for an update, here is the motor I picked up. I already started gathering goodies but I need to control myself. As I have learned in the past, if you go a little to far, it gets expensive and motivation starts to lack.

The last day of it running. it was only a matter of a few hours before everything was out and the fun of wiring and cleaning began.

    Out She goes!!

Out with the Old....SOON to be in with the new. LOL

The dirty wiring nightmare begins. I am deleting my A/C and my ABS. Its completely insane how many wires are used for just these two items. I also am removing the SRS system since I have an aftermarket wheel anyways. I am taking the time to trace all the wires back to the dash and ECU's to make sure I don't have any extras floating around. Lees mess+ less confusion if I ever need to trace any issues.

After a quick rinse. most of the wires are labeled and removed here. I am starting to figure out how to run them all through the frame/fender for the headlights, horns, and other gadgetry at the front of the car. I hope to have only my fuse box and coolant reservoir left in the engine bay.

    .....And done.
