Figured I would get the car on the lift and prepped for work this winter. Had to do some multiple up-downs with the jack and lift in order to get the tallest lift feet under it. These are needed for when I install the dssr since they give the most clearance between the lift surface and underside of car for exhaust removal and such.
Also decided to take the wheels off and throw the Motorsport Hardware 78mm stud kit on too. The studs are too long to reuse the oem BBS screw-on center caps, but that's not a problem.
I have something planned for different center caps that involves the 3d printer for mock up and test fitting. Stay tuned!

I tried coming up with a joke, but I remember all the "free" subscriptions I had while in undergrad and graduate school and it's not funny.

After reading reviews and some 3D Printing sites I ordered the Creality Ender 3 V2 from Amazon. Supposedly a really good print quality and user friendly. I was able to create the things I want to make with arbitrary dimensions in tinkerCAD so I think this is going to be a fun project and allow me to make random things for the car or around the house - like chip bag clips and cock rings.

I've had a few people reach out to me asking to check back into WIBimmers... and I realized it's been way too long since I've updated this thread. So much has happened since my last update a year and a half ago.
My Instagram and YouTube channel are where I post most of my content. Be sure to follow/subscribe if you're interested in keeping up with my BMW builds!
I'm currently in talks with Billiam Mason (BMB Autowerks) about a built engine. The 135i engine is finally ticking/knocking internally after all of the 750+whp abuse. My goal is to get something that can handle 900whp and maaaaaybe throw a bigger turbo on it. He recommended a 6875 Gen 2.
Here are a few pictures/videos to enjoy.

If that's what they say then I'd go with that!  I know when KW sent me my coilovers they came with a new set of shorter sway bar end links to avoid the pre-loading and I know others that do it as well.  I'm sure it's like everything else handling related where it's heavily opinion based on independent results.  If it works it works!

Honestly fairly new to the intricacies of suspension tuning so I reached out to TC Kline and got this response
I could see how adjustable links could come into play with corner balancing, but I've also read BMWs are pretty well balanced from the factory. I'll definitely do my best to test out all this info and report back though!

I'd suggest going with a shortened or adjustable sway bar link.  The stock ones are made for the stock height.  You're going to change the pre-load on the sway bar and could impact your handling if you stick with the stock sway bar links and lowered height.

Job is done and very well worth it! Didn't get a whole lot of pics, but got a few. First drive home makes me not want to put it in garage for winter yet. Lol. Revs like a son of a bitch and shifting is very smooth with new detents.
I did screw up and bought the wrong DSSR. The one I got was for the e36, thinking it was the same. Well, the Z3 shift arm is almost twice as long as the e36. Had to reuse the stock arm for now and will be ordering the correct one to swap in over winter.
All-in-all I'm very happy with the result and will be tough to take it easy next spring to break-in the clutch correctly.

That's cheap for a frozen car.  I've never been a fan of that black though.  Looks incomplete.

Tiny change, but swapped out the indicator bulbs with chrome coated ones. Barely noticeable but I think it’s subtly better looking in the clear housing. Good tip @Rekpoint

Chasing a rough idle so I got my injectors flowed and cleaned.  They are flowing great and I threw in some new filter baskets while I had them out.  Didn't solve the problem.  Next up is cleaning the ICV & throttle bodies.
Installed some 2006 M6 heated front seats. Need to wire up the new-to-me heated seat buttons and then I'm golden! The M3 will see some winter duty while the wagon is under the knife 💯😲

Been driving this a ton!  Some fun goodies should be arriving in the next month.  Stay tuned!! 🤪
