I'm wishing I had never sold this super nice euro '85 323i back in 2011. Polaris silver with blue interior, EVERY receipt since new ($40k total!!) including importation papers when new. Stock other than exhaust and Ground Control coilovers. It would have made for an amazing swap candidate.

The life blood has arrived!
Also got a DVD of BMWs moving under their own power as I forgot what that looks like and needed a refresher.

Put to use that old Lincoln flux core welder sitting in back of my garage and tried my hand at some tack welding.
Had to weld a new lip onto my front valance in order to mount the group 2 airdam. I had cut off the old lip for a previous airdam. I think it turned out fairly good for flux core. I will be grinding then down smooth, no worries.
Picked up a cheap welding helmet from harbor freight, so naturally I had to customize it with my decals.
I also cut out the stock passenger seat mounts and started making the new ones similar to drivers side.

Beer in general is disgusting to me. Definitely an acquired taste that I don't want to put in the effort on. I thought it would taste like apple juice or something delicious since adults at parties were always drinking it like it was great stuff lol
I'll stick to hard liquor=)

Finished cutting out the passenger side floor pan and threw down 2 coats of KBS.
Got a piece of 18ga sheet metal from speedy metals, cut and formed it to shape and drilled all the holes for rivets. Using structural panel adhesive I glued the panel in place and riveted it down with my air riveter. Same way I did driver side.
I then went ahead and seam sealed the driver side floor pans on top and underneath.
Thank God for heated garages!!!!

Slowly chipping away on getting the M3 motor back in. Rear main, gear selector, and transmission input shaft seals all done.
We all know the drill. Pop a hole.
Screw it in.
Needed a bigger screw. And slide hammer it out.
Rear main and pilot bearing all snugged up.
Old shift selector seal.
New one installed.
Transmission input seal.
Next to do is the throw out bearing and clutch fork pivot plastic thing. Pop on the flywheel/clutch/pressure plate. Then mate up the motor and trans. After that it's SMG time!!

Starting surgery on the passenger side floor pan this past weekend. Started off by using an air scraper to get rid of all the sound deadening tar material so I could see the extent of the rust.
It looks bad in the pic, but in reality the rot is a smaller area than I previously thought. Most of the area that looks like "surface rust" in the pic is actually just residue from the tar material.
I then busted out the air saw and started cutting away the rot out to some good solid metal.
Still have some more to cut out. After that I will kill any remaining surface rust with the kbs system, cut my new floor pan to shape and start the rivet process just like the driver side.

Got these awesome posters that I will be framing and hanging up in the apartment, love them! And, if my girlfriend has any objections to their placement, I now have the perfect means of settling the dispute:
Thanks Dave!!

Yes, the hood matches, the whole top of the car is just dirty from the transport truck. Under the hood looks OK though.

Everything, literally everything works. All warning lights, gauges, abs, obd2 plug, etc works like it's all factory. Even the e46 m3 seats that were retrofitted have all power functions and heat working.

Got mine today! I received a mysterious package in the mail with no return address.
I opened it to find a totally bitchin holiday themed T-Shirt! It's a little big, but I plan on sitting around all winter and eating cheese curds to fill it out.
