We'll, this is definitely going to be a yearly event for us! The drive isn't bad and certainly part of the adventure.
The people and cars were amazing.... Even participated installing a turbo in a 2002 I the hotel parking lot the night before the show.

We made it! Not a single hiccup ( except for the Indiana roads beating us up) and even managed about 28mpg!
The cars are rolling in from all over... Amazing cars.... I need to find myself a 2002 now, lol.
We're off to Greer SC today to attend "50 years of M" at the BMW CCA and check out the production facility and performance center.
Tomorrow is the big show, expect a big photo dump!

We are still going! Gonna make it an annual trip... Gonna take my E30 this year, my wife's E30 Cabrio next year, and hopefully by the third year, I'll have the E21 ready to go, lol.
Looking forward to it!!!! It would be awesome to get a WiBimmers group going ever year!

Thread jack, but if you want the pro strat for boat oil changes, the next time you do it buy or make a drain hose kit. My parents inboard came with this setup from the factory and it’s slick as shit, and so easy. Just snake the tube out of the boat drain plug, put a drain pan underneath, and pop the cap off. Easiest oil change I’ve ever done.
Example of a kit: https://www.wholesalemarine.com/sierra-18-7891-oil-drain-kit.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_9PmkLjb9wIVBezjBx3cYQ45EAQYAiABEgKgXfD_BwE

Basically sounds like a huge vintage BMW gathering… 2019 had 685 BMWs on the field. 😳
Not sure what to expect, but we’re registered and going!

And she's back together! Only hiccup was I forgot to order the front bumper bolts for the MTech bumper. The stock one are too long, but will work until the new ones come in.
She still needs a good paint correction and wax, but I'll save that for another day.
Feels good to save another E46...

For sure, the mess under the intake is definitely on the to do list! I have the VCG and oil filter housing gaskets as well.
Just got word it's gonna be done tomorrow! I plan on transmission, transfer case and diff fluid change this weekend.
Shes had some serious work done to her this week!

Great progress, love seeing these getting some attention.
Has the plastic pipe under the intake been addressed? They are notorious for leaking at the least opportune time.
But, that's a project with an intake reseal, OSV update, heater valve and lines, and starter, in a shotgun parts blast.
As you, we did the pump and hoses on my son's 330 vert, only to have the pipe start leaking a month later.
Whoever decided that it was a good idea to replace a metal pipe with a plastic one that is buried under the intake should be shot.

With the new job came a new reason to buy another car!
Since I gave up the take home car with the old job, I needed a new (to me) daily for the upcoming commutes.
After thinking about what I wanted for a bit I settled on finding myself a nice E46, since a 2003 325i was the first new BMW I have ever owned, and haven't had one since 2006.
After a few weeks of looking, and passing on a few cars, I came across this gem!
2005 325ix, 106k, premium package, cold weather package, MK4 Navigation, Harmon Kardon, Xenon, and best of all.... Oxford Green with Carmel Leather!
Overall a very solid car, and it drives wonderful. Gonna work on a cooling system overhaul and some minor maintenance this week.
Next week it's off to the body shop to have MTech bumpers fitted, door dent removal, and rust mitigation.
I love it when a plan comes together...
