DevianceInDark got a reaction from timmer in E30 parts
It's been a long time since I posted on here but want to give the local community a chance before I start shipping. Car lacks drivetrain but I may have some old M42 remnants.
I have a decent collection of parts I'd like to try selling locally before shipping. I've listed some key pieces below but let me know if there are parts you're looking for.
Corbeau GTS II seat pair and E30 seat brackets, used one season - $900
Depo smoked crosshair headlights, Brand new- $225
Motometer Gauge cluster - hasn't been used for 4 years. Was functional other than ODO. Chips for 318is and 325e - $250
Early model Sport steering wheel, Missing leather wrap - $100
Late model bumpers with euro trim (deletes side markers, All OEM) - $1800
    IS spoiler (OEM) - $200
    Mtech 1 spoiler (aftermarket, Garagistic) - $200
    IS side skirts (OEM) $325
Pop-out window Set, latches aged but work- $350
    2.79 LSD diff - $500
Let me know if you have questions.

This is super late but still worth posting I thought. On a late season drive last November I came across ClassE30 parked on a side road and couldn't pass up the shot.

They are heavy, the 17" set I had required 10mm spacers+some caliper grinding to fit. I hate my life and I regret every day of my existence because of it.
I sold them for many reasons. The main reason was that I hate my life, other reasons include the fact that they are heavy, a 9 year old flicked a booger at me, and I had a genuine fear that with continual hard driving that they would disintegrate, cascading me off of one of the many treacherous cliffs of the New Berlin coastline and into a very death-like state. In all honesty, for someone that doesnt drive their car hard, they are perfectly fine. Just check for cracks after any hard pothole hits and during semi-annual tire rotations.
    They are also heavy.

Great info, Jordan! While I highly doubt it would ever happen, id like to see if a megasquirt powered car using the add-on GPS data unit could ever be compromised

Looks like the misalignment wrecked the damper as well. Im guessing they did this because the sheetmetal for the mount tore out

So I've been off the forum for a bit but I thought I would hop on and give a quick update on the E30 status. Should finally be getting some miles on starting next week.

I apologize that this really isn't a "build" but I hate saying I'm going to do things and then not getting it done. So I'll just show what happened

    Before

    During

    After

    Noteable updates
Paint, Euro bumper Trim, Side skirts, IS lip, Shaved antenna, H&R springs and Bilstien shocks, updated rear shock mounting with reinforcments, Pop-out window conversion, wheel refresh.

More to come, but probably at a slower pace...

For any of you who don't have plans, my dad and I will be working on cars on the 4th at my shop. Given the holiday, grilling out is a must. Bring your own food/beer and come hang out. It would be great to meet some new faces.

As for the other 2 2002s, one is a project, and the third is cheating -- it is my e46 dd.

DevianceInDark reacted to YoungCR in Calypsorot '90 325i Coupe
So as previewed in my 528e thread I picked up a E30 early last week. The plan was to either fix n' flip or sell to my youngest brother Matt (MattY) for his first car and we're going with the later.

So its a 1990 325i Calypsorot Coupe with ~250k on it. Bought it off the Kummrow lot and apparently its floated around a couple Badger Bimmer members which explains its good condition. Mainly cosmetics are the issue and a tune up but otherwise a pretty solid E30 fwiw. According to the carfax the last accident it was in the previous owner's kid hit a fence due to a brake caliper lock up hence cracking the bumper. I can feel a caliper dragging slightly but my dad stomped on the brakes while driving and it didn't pull either direction so we're thinking theres a hidden story on the bumper but either way an easy fix. The car was registered last in November but not sure how much it has been driven since then.

I took a spin in the car when I brought it back to the shop and my dad and I took it out again the next day and just driving the car more made a difference in the engine running. Basically its due for a tune up and with a little body work this will be decent car. Heres the to-do list so far:

Rear Brake Caliper Rebuild/Replace New Bumper Cover Trunk lock is currently stuck General Tune Up (Sparks, Plugs, Belt, Pump, Filters, Fluids) Door Seals Glove Box Latch Detail! Onto the pics!

Comes with an authentic HellaHooptie sticker

Major rot on the car is the PS fender, tiny bit of rust below the driver tail light too
     I  Front End Damage
Crack free dash! Needs a couple pieces replaced but otherwise cleaned up well
Snagged those matching vinyl sport seats from Devianceindark. #racecarmods

Overall very happy with the purchase. Can't wait to go to town on this paint and see how things turn out. The roof is kinda beat but has potential for a 5ft car

Hadn't heard of it, but checking it out and it sounds pretty good. More back-to-basics than the proggy Mars Volta stuff, but still super-tight rhythm. Cool to see they're still going and I'm amazed he can still sing like that. They haven't gone all soft either, tons of energy.
