Rowleym
Serious questions here. Anyone good with electrical work? Aka wiring a 220v outlet for my welder? And is an e36 88 pin dme different shape than a 325i dme? Like can I plug one into another harness?
Brian.
You have to wire 220V from the box. I know that much. Other then that all my house electrical has been forgotten.
Rowleym
Yea, but I have no room in the box, but I have 220v running to the laundry room, so I'm thinking I can just splice it there or something.
Rowleym
Also, I think I'm paint my car flat silver.. Well. It's going to be flat something, or matte or whatever, but it's easier than gloss, so it might look decent.
Brian.
Splice? Just unplug the washer or dryer you lazy bum. Splicing 220V isn't like splicing normal housing outlets. 220V is beefier for a reason, shit needs more juice! Just unplug the washer/dryer when you need to weld. Not too big of an issue. Rowleym
But I would have to run like a 35' extension cord!
Brian.
Wouldn't work then. 220V extension cords are only "good good" up until like 6 feet. Last I checked. Gunna have to add an a separate box, and do a 220V, have fun with that!
Rowleym
Matte silver or mAtte grey?
