Rowleym
Disconnect them? For what reason?Poor mans line lock.Explain?
REKIII
If the brake pedal only controls the front brakes, you can hold down the brakes and roast the rears. Otherwise to do a burnout you have to overcome the power of the rear brakes.

REKIII
I just explained what a line lock is. Disconnecting the rear brakes is a way to do it (if done correctly) that is free but gets the basic same results as a line lock.

Brian.
i see alot has gone on since i was here last love the ?open/lsd? how where you still driving if it was that bad? Yeah man, alot's happened. The reason the LSD was deemed an "open diff" was because it's a clutch style LSD, the friction plates, aka "clutch" were so worn, that with the car in the air, spin one rear wheel, the other would spin the other way. yet when I would get stuck on ice, both tires would spin, I just deemed it a fucked up open diff. Till we dropped it. And also guys, disconnecting rear brakes is pointless, as the brake bias is usually 65% front, 35% rear. Even then, why would I disconnect them? I could just close the lines at the brake T's
Brian.
So, these are the gears I broke on the LSD. Clearly not a KAAZ LSD. Those are $1400 starting. Better picture:

wasnt m3
Wasn't there supposed to be a burnout video too?
Brian.
Wasn't there supposed to be a burnout video too? Well, the diff's been sitting for upwards of 2 years, on the ground, so it needs to be broken in a little.
YoungCR
Yup part 2 still to come!
Brian.
^yeah, possibly. It'll depend if I'm selling a set of rims or not, cause if I am, I'm gunna have to post pone it, till I get a new set. I can't be down to 1 set of rims, and have 2 of the tires destroyed.. Brian.
Well, sheared the bolts that hold the half shaft into the diff, woops.Hoping to find another half shaft relatively soon.

Brian.
Did you get the rest of the bolts out? Only one chunk of one's stuck in the output flange, the axle shaft it's self has one that's twisted/bent in there. But a simple attack with the cutting wheel will solve that. Brian.
parts ordered for rebuilding of rear halfshaft. Hopefully I get this back on the road by wednesday night!
Brian.
I pay extra for 3 day shipping, instead of 5-8 day shipping, still takes 5 days to get here. I wrote pelican a nice little email, about how I pissed I was that I ordred stuff, paid twice the normal ground shipping rate, to get it here in 3 days, just to have it show up in 5. What the fuck.
