TeutonicCarNut
Hey Guys... I've lived in WI for almost 15 years and have been a member of the BMWCCA on and off during that period, but I still haven't found the right group of true gearheads that don't mind getting their hands dirty, yet can also shoot the breeze or just hang out.. Could this be the groups of my dreams?!? I'm a 40-something guy, married, three kids, 5 cars, and 2 motorcycles. I've been crazy about cars since I could talk and that was nurtured by a father with a vast knowledge of cars himself. I have owned 38 cars since the age of 15 and between me and my family we have owned the following BMW's: 2 - E23's, 2 - E24's 1 - E9, 1 - E28, 2 - E21's, and 1 - E3. My Current Garage:2012 Honda Pilot (Family Truckster)2011 VW Jetta SE 2.5 (My Daily Driver)1981 VW Rabbit Convertible (Future Golf GTI Convertible Clone)1978 BMW 320i (Madeira)1973 BMW Bavaria (Malaga)1980 Honda CX500 Deluxe1974 Honda CB125 I'm looking forward to getting to know a few more "bimmer-philes". Cheers!Kirt
YoungCR
Welcome! I posted in the "Official Sighting Thread" on August 5th that I saw your Bavaria on 39/90 by Egerton, I'm guessing there aren't too many other burgundy barvarias in the state. I'm Chris and I live in Waunakee and my "garage" is in Sun Prairie, you're more than welcome to stop by the shop on the weekends to hang out/wrench. Would be great to meet you, always glad to see another madison area person join up. TeutonicCarNut

TeutonicCarNut
@CYoung - must be more that one burgandy Bavaria in southern WI then! My Bavaria is currently in storage up in Baraboo, WI. I haven't had it out this year at all. I'll definitely have to swing by with my E21 sometime soon before the snow files. Thanks guys for making me feel welcome!

HipMF
Aha! You messaged me when I was looking for an e21 on craigslist last year (edit: two years ago... time flies when you're having fun). I eventually bought a slicktop out of St. Louis. Welcome to here! How's the Bavaria coming along? Here's my stuff:http://www.wibimmers.com/board/index.php?/topic/3308-musings-from-the-shop/ http://www.wibimmers.com/board/index.php?/topic/3895-no-home-no-destination/
TeutonicCarNut
(Sorry this reply is like 6 months old) Ah, I remember your CL ad. I'm glad to see you found an E21. Is that a Euro 320 with the M20 six? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
HipMF
Mine's a US model that had a bunch of cool parts put on it by a fairly well-known e21 guy in St. Louis. He sold it to a local guy, who I later bought it from. The first summer, I just drove it as-is. Since then I've swapped in an m42 engine from a '91 e30, and took it on a little roadtrip across ~20 states. Now it's back in the shop again to get some suspension upgrades. Looking to use it as a daily driver/autocross machine this summer. Any updates on your cars?
