ClassE
There are quite a few 2006-2007 325i's on the market around the $8k-$10k range with alittle over 100k miles on them. 2006 appears to be the first year for that gen, I'd love some input from people that know anything about them.. Earl
Could get an e46 and spend the remainder of the money on "cool" parts=P
ClassE
I'd rather spend more and get a nice low mileage car. Springs and rollers can come later.
ClassE
That E91 is calling my name - trying to arrange to see it Wednesday. If anyone here has any experience with that gen or engine, some insight would be greatly appreciated. patsbimmer1

ClassE
Finding major service intervals for newer cars is harder then I thought... Anyone have a good link or info?
jc43089
Keep in mind that the service intervals have been extended on newer cars, in my opinion some of the reasoning is the free maintenance for x years deal, they don't care how much beyond warranty it lasts. This is only my opinion and I realize that modern lubricants are much better than what was available in the days of 3mo/3k miles oil changes. FWIW I run Royal Purple HPS for 10k intervals and would continue to on any car I bought.
ClassE
I was thinking more major items (water pump, timing chain, etc..). I'm assuming they consider the chains a "lifetime" item.Might be backing off the E91 wagon... Found a 08 328i in MKE from a dealer with under 90k. Auto trans... But honestly doesn't bother me for a daily.

As long as it was well maintained and maybe a CPO I'd say go for it. Bonus points for the touring!

DevianceInDark
Turning headlight motor - $1300Passenger seat airbag sensor - $900Sunroof skipped track and needed reprograming.Electrical gremlin began rolling all my windows down whenever it felt like. Mine had some prior damage unknown to me that caused some issues. Mechanically I took it from 18k to 80k with just a new battery and a coil pack to keep it going and I enjoyed every minute of driving it. ClassE
General consensus on the E90 forums is the N52 is pretty much bullet proof, just general maintenance and some oil seal issues with valve cover and oil filter housing.Scheduled a PPI at Prestige for this afternoon - on a $10k purchase I figured it's worth the money.
