..and does the turbo just reappear when not under load? That must make some awesome noises with the manifold just dumping exhaust under load.

Yeah I think im just going to get solid rtabs then. My car feels like its sliding on ice when I drive it down the street whether the tires are toed in or not. I didn't want to go broke on the rear end but it seems like there's no other way, not to mention the fact that I'm going to have to build a custom coilover setup for the rear. Ha

Given that this thread started with a question about your rear suspension, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that your RTABs are shot.

smooth surface finish, but plenty of ledges for air to "trip" on and become more turbulent.
Probably weighs the same as the cast aluminum manifold to boot.
Looks like garbage. Someone needs to start an "E30 engine bays that look like crap" thread.

So far just the front lower valance is missing. The front fenders on it are new and it came with 2 recaro racing seats. Haha. Its a 528i.
