jc43089
Haha no m50 swap, Mike came over and we got it from the storage unit into the garage driving in reverse the whole way. Goodbye to you and you and you Mr kickdown cable Got it up on stands and I drained fluids while Mike took out the shifter Exhaust removed, the muffler wasn't attached to the pipes anymore so I will have to fix that up. Next up, pull driveshaft, and order a few things.

bfinley
John, Thanks for letting Damian and I stop by yesterday. The 'vert is even prettier in person. As we were leaving Damian goes "your friends really nice but I kind of hate him right now" he spent the rest of the day about how you got a clean e30 vert for cheap monies

YoungCR
snap should know they look oem to me He doesn't know everything! They aren't OEM E30 wheels as style 32's are 18 spoke and didn't come that small. My best guess was Hartge but those are 12 spoked and I genuine hartge's are 11 spoke. jc43089
Got some work done yesterday. Pulled the drive shaft and found this. Anybody here seen the cam belt ride way to the front and rub on the covers? Appears this has been worked on before, and they forgot to put something back... I love you late m20 and your plug in fuel injector harness goodness also it's way better with both fuel lines at the front of the rail. Engine is grimy but looks great Coolant has been flushed regularly, this is the best I have seen inside, no rust or scale inside the block or head. Got the trans out, never pulled an auto before so I dumped all the fluid from the torque converter out, caught half of it in a bucket luckily but still made a mess. Goodbye evil slushbox! Also this is getting expensive, just made a $625 order from Pelican to hopefully have everything I need. WTB cap and rotor, Rowley, message me back. Little bracket thing for the back of the shift linkage: wasn't going to pay the 50 bucks for a new one, somebody has to have one. PM me asap if you have any of this. jc43089
Got the pedals in. Adjusted valves, and installed exhaust manifolds with new gaskets, not sure why they are different, they were in the same packaging from Victor Reinz. Also I love stickers!!!! jc43089
Got started tonight around 9, Fedex package came, it's Christmas!!! Replaced cam seal and o-ring, and installed water pump Valve cover gasket and rocker arm shaft plugs replaced. Top end looks very clean, this car has been taken care of over the years. Timing belt on. And timing belt covers installed. Now I had better go to bed so I can get up at 5am for work tomorrow, I am super excited to drive this thing, the only time I have driven it is in reverse a half mile from the storage unit to my house (Mike you should try to post the video). jc43089
Got alot done on Monday, New engine mounts. Lowriders guys, you can gain a quarter inch of oil pan clearance by replacing your junk motor mounts. My engine was pretty much sitting on the steering rack. New rear main seal and all cleaned up. Different sizes of PVC fittings work awesome as seal drivers. New cap and rotor, old one was pretty rough, thanks Nick! My helpers for a while. Then Mike and Ben came over and we really moved. Head cleaned up and ready for the intake. Transmission in. That looks so much nicer under there, Mike and I took the transmission to the quarter car wash and pressure washed it, not as nice as Ben's but much better. How she sits right now, after work tonight I will get a few more things buttoned up. I need to replace the muffler and just want a dual in/dual out, weld in one, any recommendations? jc43089
Exhaust is done, Control arm bushings are pressed into the lollipops, air chisel works awesome for removing the old ones. I forgot on the list that the clutch needs to be bled too. Tomorrow is the day hopefully.
