Seems like the world is conforming to this thing, not the other way 'round. 🤪🙃

I figured the rust wasnt removing enough weight fast enough.
Also needed room for this
With nothing in the back of the car, I noticed that the car was starting to tip off of the lift so I had to strap it down LOL
Some quick C.A.D.
I found some nice sheet metal at my work from an industrial washing machine, which made a perfect new floor. I will be using the same stuff under the rusty sections too before I fully flintstone the car.

I think the hope for everyone is that this is short lived. Wife and I own 2 businesses, mine can function completely fine with quarantine and internet. That's IF I still have work to do. Economy plays a part in that. My wifes business might be dead in the water. We're all just holding our breath.
School Districts are starting to announce 4 week closures. My kids are old enough to stay home alone, but this will effect A LOT of people.
This is definitely history in the making every day.

If Gov. Evers places a ban on gatherings larger than 10 people then you are probably still good 👍🏼

REKIII reacted to suspenceful in Build Thread: 2015 BMW M3 (Lots of Photos & Videos!)
After lusting over the F80 M3 and F82 M4 for years, I finally found myself in the position to purchase one. I didn’t want to settle on just any F8X, I needed the perfect one.
Since I already have a BMW 135i for the track and a BMW 335i for daily duties, I wanted a modern weekend warrior. I found myself leaning towards the M3 because of its wide rear hips and the practicality of a 4-door sedan.
After searching nationwide for about a month with no luck, an M3 that matched my criteria popped up in Madison! Meet my 14th BMW, but my first ///M...
2015 BMW M3 with 46K miles
Mineral Grey Metallic Black Extended Merino Leather Manual Transmission (6MT) Driver Assistance Plus Executive Package Lighting Package Adaptive suspension Carbon Fiber Roof Harman Kardon Surround Sound System
It's stock right now but I have a boatload of modifications on the way. I'll be working with Kies Motorsports and a few other companies for this M3 build. My vision is a functional, good-looking weekend car. But knowing me, I'll probably blow right past that
Some of you might already watch my BMW YouTube videos (just hit 26K subscribers!), but I'll be documenting this build on my channel as well. I'll also be posting exclusive high quality photos on my Instagram. I'd encourage anyone who is interested to subscribe/follow on those platforms as well. I usually post on YouTube/IG first, then follow up on the forums as I have time to type up written content.

I think the Z4 is way better looking than the Z3, I was never a fan of the Z3. But, in the nature of full disclosure, I'm a really ugly dude, so there's that.

the crazy thing isn’t either of those, but rather the missed opportunity to list it as a VW JETTA

REKIII reacted to Jdesign in If BMW Never Existed, What Would Be Your Brand?
This is exactly how I feel and view the subject. I am in no ways brand loyal, I like something for the way that it is, and the way that it functions. I might love one model of a particular brand and hate the next. It all depends on the design, construction, quality, and overall package.

REKIII got a reaction from Jdesign in If BMW Never Existed, What Would Be Your Brand?
This is a hard one. I am really not brand loyal. I get ideas about what I like and then pursue them, sometimes with success, sometimes not.
I will say, that I rarely cross direct competitor lines, for example, I really like BMW (obviously) but have never cared for Merc or Audi, or really even VW or porsche. In my mind those are the most direct competitors to BMW. I don't know if it's because I'm a BMW guy or not.
My current stable is a BMW, Lotus, Ford, and Jeep. In the past I've had a GMC, Toyota, Honda.... So....yeah, not too brand loyal. I like a car for what the car is, I won't buy a vehicle just because I like the company that makes it.

REKIII reacted to Jdesign in BaT Guessing Game: JDesign Edition
Finally picked up and shipped out.
I agree with you guys, there is a lot of comments from those who are likely just there to cause a stir. Here is my step by step experience with this BaT transaction;
I Submit a 4 page document containing all the information about the car, 60+ images of the car, and my $100 listing fee. I get an approval email that the car is accepted and I am assigned an auction manager which mentions that after his edit it takes a month for the car to go live. The auction manager asks for more recent photos as the ones I submitted were somehow back dated, this is resolved per my response. The auction manager then takes my 4 page document and condenses it into 4 paragraphs and asks me to review them. I fix all the errors and rewrite the paragraphs (3 times or more) due to data errors ( wrong size wheels, using odd descriptions to parts that don't exist) Finally I approve the text, expecting that I have a month until the car goes live so I can add remaining photos of the underside, new pin stripe and re-painted front lip. A hour later I get a notification that the car is now live on BaT. ( What happened to the month before it goes live?) I add pictures 2 days later during the auction and the auction manager adds them within minutes of me submitting them. The auction ends and I get a few private messages after the auction. Two of the bidders said they would have bid more, BUT the notifications BaT sends out warning the auction ends in 30 mins via text and/or email went off 7 mins to close and when they checked in to bid, it was already too late. I believe them as I got the same text 7 mins before the close. Oh well, I was happy with the price and feared relisting it would bring a lower price. The winner may have had no prior bids, but you have to start somewhere. Turns out he was a pretty nice guy and he explained that he didn't think he was going to win. The buyer flew in from New York to inspect the car, pay in full, and ideally planned to be there when it was loaded onto the transporter. Unfortunately, the transporter didn't meet his promise and never arrived, or returned the buyers calls. The buyer had to fly back to New York without seeing it loaded. 3 days later, 3 auto transport companies later, a driver arrived with an open carrier and was extremely worried worried about loading the car due to the front lip. I tell him I can remove the front lip and I call the buyer so he can okay removing it. With out the front lip the car is loaded no problem. I took video, pictures, and documented the whole process and the driver was very careful with the car as he seemed to really like it. Onto the next!

Not sure where this guy has this advertised. In Fremont Michigan. Don't know M3 values enough to know if what he says is true about being the cheapest. But, not super far away, possibly a good deal, and the best color.

REKIII reacted to Jdesign in New Website
This is much better than the old logo, although I think its still not 100%. I liked the added scale of the 2 before, not sure it that will help with this new revision or not without messing with it. Another thing I noticed on the site is you were switching between serif and sans serif fonts. I also agree with the white space rule.

If you wanted to run with it and needed additional logo, branding collateral work, I could potentially be interested in working out some sort of trade for some waterjet, CNC, etc time... Just to throw that out there. You are rather conveniently just down the road from me.
